Leadership Summit

What do do with Tresiba, Ryzodeg, IdegLira & Victoza obesity all set to fail, and oral insulin still in phase one after 6 years. WTF is going on ? Who is responsible, who is accountable ?

I'll be at the meeting. Sales reps need to be and will be accountable for driving bottom line results..period. If you are below where you need to be, there are ten people behind you that would love to have your job.

You'll be singing a different song when Ryzodeg, IdegLira, and Tresiba are multi-billion dollar blockbusters, which I've been told will be the case in 2017 or 2018 at the latest. Victoza, at $20 a day for obesity, is going to blow the roof off the healthcare world.

Have faith in our ELT, people. They are the cream of the crop in this industry, and they will continue to guide us to incredible heights.

Here's to 64 consecutive quarters of double digit growth!!!

Wow! You can actually predict that the FDA will approve these products. Are you an FDA insider?

The ELT did not create the diabetes pandemic that is driving current sales.

You keep dreaming. Perhaps Ryzodeg, IdegLira, and Tresiba eventually will reach the market. If so, nobody knows when, but it will likely be to damn late.

How about RBD's with horrible turnover. There are a 100 people behind them that would love to have their job. Where's the accountability with the RBD's in this company?

Sooooo slapdick...how do you think the sales monkeys should be accountable?

Quit overloading with stupid forms and check lists and role plays that corporate boobs create so they'll have a reason for employment. Let reps be the professionals you hired and do the work. Let them use their knowledge of individual offices to create the type of presentation that will be most effective. Trying to force every single rep, every single DBM and every single district to behave the exact same way is short-sighted and stupid. But I gotta hand it to you for that creative name you called me. Good to see you are utilizing your time wisely.

But why cant you give the ELT credit for having the insight into the development of the pandemic, for our development of a bevy of world-class drugs and this best-in-class pipeline that has the pharma world green with envy?

I have it on good authority that the FDA is just making us go through the motions of an outcomes trial so as not to appear to be overly pharma-friendly. So, I anticipate the FDA sanctioning Tresiba approval (no black box) no later than Q2, 2015, the other two shortly thereafter. By then, branded Lantus competitive BS will be almost nil, because Sanofi will cut support around a year before LOE.

Here we go again. FDA is just pulling our leg, there is no CV signal in the Tresiba data, no real problems here. Novo is very strong in denial. Yet, Tresiba is not approved, and without it there is no Ryzodeg or IdegLira. No best-in-class pipeline.

Thanks again Scott. We appreciate you checking in. Maybe you should focus on looking for a job where integrity is not valued. Thank you JS for dealing with this problem. Took a lot of courage to call him out and deal with it.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

So, just to cut through your blabber, you're asking for no accountability. You do what you want to do because you are a "professional." You apparently want to create your own presentations as well, meaning, I guess, that you also want to assume control of Marketing, and not just Sales. Interesting argument....

Just so you know, you're a rep. Get over yourself. The bad part is that 75% of you can't even execute what's spoon fed to you, but you want even MORE autonomy?? That's the silliest argument I've ever heard. But, of course, you'll disagree and claim to be an expert on all matters related to NNI. Self-awareness is not really your strength, is it?

Get over yourself. I'm not a rep, probably higher up the ladder than you. I have enough common sense and experience to know that a cookie cutter style approach to sales is self-defeating. But since you grew up in the era of entitlement, you don't know what it means to actually create your own plans for success. That includes hiring the right people, knowing the marketplace and developing a specific program that will work. One size fits all is for Snuggies.

Brand strategy be damned!! Just do what you want to do, without oversight or data to back up your approach. Sounds like a great recipe, pal!!
