Layoffs

Got laid off last year. It had gotten so bad I had been wanting it for years. I put so much of my life into that company and it just ended up being poor decision after poor decision by executives. Needs a thorough cleanse at the top. Unfortunately I just don’t see them ever getting where they had to potential to go. And so many good people have been impacted by it.

They keep making bad decisions at the top. Everything has changed and what used to be fun isn’t anymore. They lost some of the best reps and managers. I don’t get it anymore

Smith and nephew lost and no direction. After the recent local lay offs, they literally got rid of the people who did the most. This company going backwards fast, look at the share price…. Not looking good for smith and nephew and sales people are not the problem as we all know now. We need real leadership, less management, and actual innovation again. We are just a me to follow the leader company now, sad state we evolved into. Pure lack of leadership and vision, what made smith and nephew a great place to work years ago.

I was legit shook by the people they laid off recently. Directors that have been here 15+ yrs, managers that were thought leaders and challenged the status quo, and some top sales reps. This place is going down the shitter. It all starts from the top down too

Wound has been a complete mess since Rohit arrived. And Vince isn't shaping up to be any better. Although I will say Rohit has lived up to all the hype that ran him out of KCI and my mimedicks. Good luck on getting any of those clowns to make a decision.

Wound has been a mess since Rohit showed up. Vince isn't shaping up to be any better. Trying to get any of these guys to make a decision is virtually impossible. At least Rohit has lived up to the hype that chased him out of the last couple places he's been. It's been touched watching wound go from leading from 4 years to where it is now. Thanks Rohit you're really living up to your word in wanting to change wound care. But I'm sure your 3M stock is doing pretty well.

It all went downhill with Rohit. Right away a big shift in comp and vibes. The years with Paolo were the best. Laura took down the device division too. Pay was immediately cut in half. Morale and pay are at the lowest with no hope getting better

If you are with smith and nephew, it’s time to look for another job. The company is struggling and DOES NOT SUPPORT SALES. We are almost a month into 2025 and we have NO COMPENSATION PLAN for this year yet. I know a BUNCH of people in sales quitting and taking offers currently. Don’t buy into SN lies from leadership, they want you to work for free…. If anyone starts a lawsuit a bunch of 1099’s will jump all over it as SN treats them like employees, and should be afraid of a massive lawsuit for back pay ect. We can only hope there’s a lawsuit coming this way soon as sales is over the BS. SN leadership can’t tell you how you get paid, which division pays what % and who gets what. It’s a cluster F of a business, nobody knows anything and they fire the only ones who do the actual work. Smith and nephew investors should be highly concerned as 2035 going to be a BAD year with this current leadership. Never seen a company flounder so hard as SN has over last 5 years. What are we down 30%+ in those years? Investors should be all over the BOD letting them know how bad SN is failing it’s employees. We can only hope Stryker buys us and fires the entire Smith and Nephew leadership side. Maybe then will someone know what the hell is going on.

Really sad what SN has become. Rohit is an absolute culture vampire and Vince has no idea what he is doing or what he has signed up for. Can't wait until they roll out the growth objective this year and try to spin that it is achievable and that the best years are ahead of us. Not a chance we need Rohit and Alice to go.....

Anyone see the shitshow of an awards meeting in Texas? That was brutal, from the drunk at the beginning all the way to the end, what a horrible event. One of the managers that won 100% didn’t deserve it. Can’t believe it actually, it’s a good ole boys club for sure, if you’re in you win. The people that actually get things done for this company all thought this was a giant mess. SN holding SN back at this point, why must we ask? We know investors can’t stand this direction, down……. Why the hell do we keep supporting it? Time to take these offers more serious, I see a lot of people leaving soon, in fact I know many who have quit over the last 3 weeks alone. Horrible comp structures, nobody knows anything, a complete joke. People are over it.

I'm surprised they didn't cancel the meeting in Texas given the cuts and the inevitable cut in commissions coming.
By the way it went down it looked like a bunch of alcoholics were on stage. Apparently it was a party in Texas, not fear of being cancelled. Shareholders wanna know the problem at SN it hit them in their face. Absolutely nobody respects current leadership and the way they do business. W2’s, 1099’s, all say the same. Management and leadership has failed big time. Plenty of dead weight that didn’t get fired still here holding the ship back still. It’s very obvious some of our problems, yet SN can’t see it if their life depended on it. Point the finger at everyone but yourselves, yet the problems still exist. Time to look in the mirror management. Nobody respects this chaos you have created.

Bring back Andrew Holman. The last leader at SN who supported sales. It’s been what, 15 years of a downhill spiral since then…. Serious though, we want real leadership, we have leadership in it just for their paychecks, zero heart. By the look at our share price we could use some people who believe in smith and nephew, not these seat warmers who don’t even know what’s in a smith and nephew tray. We’ve got people in specialist positions currently that have Zero experience in that speciality. No joke…. Watching SN now deal with investors and these layoffs is wild, keeping the people with zero experience and laying off the ones who do the work when we actually need it. Insane. If I was an investor I’d be all over this BOD for some of these decisions, very obvious this batch of leadership has no clue how to turn the ship around, zero support for sales, a complete lack of knowledge is what we are seeing in the field from leadership. Investors beware!
