LAYOFFS


Here is the criteria:
if you are old- gone
high salary-gone
dont get along with dm- gone

the rest is random depending on who and who doesn't like you.

Seems to me- if this was the criteria- there could be some discriminative lawsuits- They sure don't want them now. They will have criteria- but old and high salary won't be part of it!
 












Not true----field trainer for onc is going to WCL to train 14 new reps. WTF?

No open positions moving forward- i.e. if the position was filled prior to 1/25, that representative will be trained at WCL and placed in said position. As of 1/25, any open positions are now effectively closed pending the re-org.
 



End of fiscal year is a very convenienct time to do layoffs. If you feeel your job is at risk, you have until 3/31 to find a new one before you are severed. Just a hunch.

Ahh, you must have drank the corporate koolaid. Wake up, why do you think they NEVER put the criteria in writing??? Are you a newbie? Or just another dumb esi rep?? either way, I am glad you trust that managment here will make all the right decisions.
 



Former Novartis rep here. our layoffs stated it was based on last 2 year ratings, geography and tenure. That was the biggest lie next to the other 3 biggest lies (checks in the mail, we are not having layoffs, your best interest is in our mind, I love you, etc, etc). The kept people with "1" ratings over 2's and 3;s, and then kept people with equal ratings, 5 yrs or less tenure, lower base salaries, and yes youger, and did not live in the geography (oh, did I mention they were diversity candidates?) This was all done by an outside co with "Six Sigma" graduates, that looks at who costs the company too much in salary, bonus, disability, sick days, accomodations, etc, etc down to probably how many sheets of toilet paper you use when you wipe your behind.

In other words-- it was all contrived, and mostly ass kissers were kept. We all need to get over this mis-treatment, descrimination, and working for companies that operate illegaly (off label, descrimination, harrassment, etc) and find jobs with smaller companies that treat you as a person and reward you for what you do; not a number and who's butt you kiss.Dont believe a word they say- read between the lines. Take the Severance and RUN! GOOD LUCK ALL!

I can tell you that I am an "older" rep, and if it seems they are eliminating our demographic, you can bet your ass I will be seeking a labor attorney out. They chomp at the bit to get cases like that in today's corporate climate!

Consider the possibility that some of us have a background in law, and can prove that there is a scheme to make it appear that the layoffs are done fairly, even though they are not. You have to be smart enough to know how to figure it out.

i agree, but they have made such a convaluted formula that even einstein wouldnt be able to figure it out. it is like how they set the goals/IC-- it is so complex/convaluted/fake that it is just non-sensical. when you ask your dm about the IC goals- even they cant figure it out. They do this all for the very reason to keep everyone/everything so mixed up- that there will be no grounds for a lawsuit----- u dont need a law background to figure that one out.
