Yup. I stayed out of management, improved my technical skills, made lots of options money, made upper middle-class income but lived solid middle class....saved a lot. So when the management assholes say "Sorry, we don't need you anymore" I take the package and laugh all way to the bank. Because a few weeks later I have another job at another company with more stock options. Fuck all the management shit heads. Financially I did better them most of those heartless ass wipes who added little to anything.

Interviewing currently at Abbott. What exactly does the boss do to you if you don’t make him/her look like a hero? Worked for a few incompetent managers who are unethical. This statement makes me confirm some suspicions I’ve had during the process. More info from employees on the culture here would be helpful.
