Law Suits

So instead of simply doing the right thing and following the "cannons" they've out in place, Castle chooses to settle lawsuits which cost them more money?

Truth and common sense at its finest.

I'm glad someone posted about this. Castle has not and will not change their policies for expenses and labor issues as required by the states they operate in. Mostly because they feel it's costs more than it's worth. At least that's what I was told when I brought this to the attention of my boss in HR there.

Yes there are about a half sealed suits against them and several other claims were filed by TM's and collectors during my time at the corp. office. It funnels through Steve of Jonathan and gets taken out of HR's hands. We were told specifically not to document the issues brought up, but to bring them to the attention of your supervisor.

You never worked in HR at Castle Medical.

Yeah, you really don't make much sense.

Yeah, you really don't make much sense.

Other than a few typos I can see what they're trying to say. They were not allowed to document any issues pertaining to expenses/monies owed by Castle. Instead, they were required to pass it on to upper management to deal with.

I think that's what they were trying to say.

Not really. Most people seem to only be subjected to this for a 90 to 120 day period before they are fired.
Not alot personally invested overall. Except for some of the ones that got too drunk and may have traded their virtues for something non tangible?
Cafe Pharma seems to right the wrong for the right price.

Kind of like a cheap date. You shouldn't be surprised or get too mad because it went bad. Just feel lucky and relieved that it's over!!!!! LMAO, Castle is so embarassing and humiliating!!!

Castle medical- the company nobody puts on their resume. Gotta love it. Jmo

Has anyone noticed the massive turnover in the HR department? Castle does not follow the law in regards to human resources which is probably why the turnover is so high in that department.

Massive turnover in most departments, especially sales.
Scooter doesn't want to know what laws are broken. His motto seems to be, what I don't know won't hurt me.

On January 16, 2016, Outten & Golden filed suit against Castle Medical, Inc. (“Castle”) seeking to recover 60 days wages and benefits for former employees under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (“WARN”) Act. We contend Castle ordered layoffs throughout 2015, without providing its employees with advance written notice. The case is pending in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

If these layoffs affected you, Outten & Golden LLP can provide you with updated information regarding your rights in this case. Generally, the WARN Act requires companies to provide their employees with 60 days written notice in advance of a mass layoff or plant closing. In the absence of such notice, employers may be liable to each affected employee for 60 days wages and benefits.

A covered employer must give notice if there is to be a mass layoff which does not result from a plant closing, but which will result in an employment loss at the employment site during any 30-day period for 500 or more employees, or for 50-499 employees if they make up at least 33% of the employer's active workforce. Sounds like you've wasted your time with this one Rene. Go chase another ambulance.....

Nope, sounds like Castle is going to have to respond or face a default judgement? No one cares really. Castle is "Bush League" anyway.

Looks like some lawsuits are starting to get settled. The dozen I've found I've all been withdrawn.

Jump on the next Castle cash cow. Half the work and a lot more money.

Don't ever forget, the fearless "leader" is a lawyer. It's all he ever was. He's all over this board and this thread, and his last and final cash grab will be suing former employees that tried to get away from the Castle disaster while taking some relationships with them to feed their families, and will be punished for it.

I doubt it a lot. Best to let sleeping dogs alone. I have a very nice conversation recorded with my DVP telling me to buy food/... To ferret out sales from the staff and doctors. I was told "it's just the way it's done." It's also could be a bribe and a kickass violation of The Subshine Act that none of us reported.?b nope, water too deep for Scooter to dive in. Attorney General vs a law. Degreed non practicing attorney? He ain't that stupid folks.
