Kowa layoffs and downsizing have begun

This is true. On the confidence calls. It was said the bottom 100 reps generated like 4-5 SEG scripts a QUARTER which is under the new quarter goal. Some districts are performing that bad that the managers have to sit down one on one with them. ALSO reps are just leaving because of the burn out rate. They are just tired of the leadership and way Kowa launched SEG and not happy enough to stick with Kowa so they are just leaving even without a weeks notice.

How about some better details! Are people being told they have been laid off? Being put on plans? What exactly is happening? And why would they do this when supposedly a co-promote is around the corner. Don’t they need bodies in all territories?

We are on performance plans and being told to get district average of scrips. Jeff said on the call a copromote could take a year or so, i wouldn’t say that is around the corner.

The point is they know the seglentis performance is poor ans instead of having the balls to “downsize” they are forcing people out with CAP’s and poor management.

Think of the positive. If you’re unfortunate enough, or unmotivated enough to still be there….you’ll probably make more on unemployment.

This is true too. I don’t know if any of the reps looked at the new IC plan basically the bottom 150 reps (HALF THE COMPANY SALES FORCE) makes little to nothing on the IC payout. Especially the bottom 100 reps make no money on SEG and little to nothing on Livalo. Reps are living on their own because of this. The salary is no where near the industry average either.

The cheap way out. Very dirty too.

Layoffs would require sevrance. Putting people on CAP’s and firing them when they don’t perform is the shitty way out for a company. Clearly no one in management has the balls to do a downsizing or layoffs so instead they are just going to f-over 1/3 of the sales force.

I’m in the bottom 100, but haven’t been officially put on a plan…yet. I saved some text messages from my DM. I know with the opioid situation in the US, the text directives would not look good. I’m sure an “investigative journalist” somewhere would be interested.

Don’t forget the reps getting the patients full name and date of birth to give to the pharmacy to try to save a reversal.
