RP is a first time CEO so he's just trying to extend his tenure in the position for as long as he can...same with SC as a CCO. They know what they are doing. This is merely a stopover for them. From an SEC/legal perspective they'll claim ignorance since they're both first timers in their roles and no known malice was taking place.
They'll go on to blame MK and the previous commercial and medical leadership as to why Seli never launched well - stating they did all they could do to clean up the mess left behind. Hence, why they fired as many commercial people as they did when they took over...this is career climbing 101 and they are both masterful at it.
I just wish they would back off on all the dumb stuff we do here. Just admit it's not going as we hoped, we know this is a tough company to work at and to stay with, and because of that we are going to tone down the rhetoric and the rah rah, just go and to what you can, and if we are very lucky, maybe this will work out....That is all they should be saying at this point. That would require leadership, something severely lacking here.
PS...the only reason RP and SC are still here is they have no offers on the table. Both have been trying to get out for last 12 months. Fact.
