Brought in lunch the other day...
Thought things would go my way!
Salad and pasta for the staff...
started my call...they began to laugh.
Where's the bread sticks and the Mountain Dew..
Don't you have better things to do!
Told the Doc Symbicort was the way to go!
Give me some dessert and don't be slow!
Man, I've got the "Olive Garden" blues
Wish I had some better news.
Lunch with the cows...stuffing their face.
Wish I was in a better place!

Actually, I thought it was funny. Really shows how the prestige of the pharma rep has shrunk. Docs don't respect us and look at us as a free meal. Watching the hogs eat is pretty funny. Ever watch the hogs split up the leftovers to feed dinner to their families? Also I laugh to think how many offices want olive garden. I think the food there is awful.

Good humor and a funny note. Many years ago, I once took in OG lasagna to a very very heavy (ok flat out FAT) doc; as we were talking he proceeded to devour about 2/3 of the PAN. The funny part was, towards the end we got into a bit of a debate about drug pricing, cost of drugs etc, and he asked me how much we spent on R&D... I told him and he said “wow, that’s a lot of lasagna!” I’m like yea, it sure is!

LOL I think the two quasi poems on our job is funny. Let's face it you have to laugh at yourself and not take everything so seriously. Those of us that have been around awhile who saw the good days of this industry and now the current state of affairs need to laugh because it's a hell of a lot better than crying and complaining. While the above certainly isn't the best poetry I've ever read it's funny. I'd love to read other "AZ Poets" work on the state of the company and industry. I think it would be a hoot. Just my opinion.

I got the DM blues...

Had my DM just the other day..

Boy did she get in the way!

I told one doc "Symbicort's mine!"

He just said "Where do I sign?"

My DM did she say..."Listen and Learn"

Man did that old Doc burn!

He threw us out he yelled "Never bring her back!"

My DM was mad as an alley cat!

We then had lunch at the mall..

She then left me for a conference call!
