Are you serious? This company stopped paying for internet service, lol. I think 10-12 million would be a nice savings. Cut the useless kams.
This is my second post I've ever written on cafe pharma but really have to say that the KAMs really are useless. We could cut all of them and no one would notice and there would be no change to the sales trend line. Zero. Probably be the best place to start. Maybe then we could expense our $50 a month internet service again.

They can get rid of all KAM and 75% of the DMs. They contribute ZERO

The thought leaders job is also a complete waste of money - get ride of all of them. My thought leader will only go see providers that don’t do any push back and this has had zero effect. What a bunch of overrated and overpaid losers who get a full bonus regardless how bad the numbers are.
 






Great point about the Thought Leader position. KAM’s rightfully take so much heat on hear you forget about how ridiculous of a position thought leader liaison is. Another associate director position making way more than TBM’s, doing something TBM’s already do daily…connect with thought leaders.

TBMs do not perform like TLLs. You all are mindless children who only know to do what we tell you.
 






Never forget psychiatric field sales was forced to work during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays last year while the KAMs and TLLs made sure everyone knew they weren’t working and bragging about their trips and time off. They, both the KAMs and TLLs, still make sure we all know they get paid a full 100% bonus payout regardless of how bad the numbers are to goal attainment. What a double standard supported by leadership.
 






The thought leaders job is also a complete waste of money - get ride of all of them. My thought leader will only go see providers that don’t do any push back and this has had zero effect. What a bunch of overrated and overpaid losers who get a full bonus regardless how bad the numbers are.
The only reason the TLL positions are still around is because SW is hot! Hope that helps!

They, both the KAMs and TLLs, still make sure we all know they get paid a full 100% bonus payout regardless of how bad the numbers are to goal attainment. What a double standard supported by leadership.

Stock continues to tank and we waste $$$ on these useless positions. The board needs to get letters from employees stating how little they bring to the table. They must have dirt on Nichols or pops

All of their fancy words can’t survive 2 questions deep and anything really imperative they do could be cross trained for a rep. Since Alkermes likes to charge a criminal amount of money for marginal improvement compared to generics then there’s no play. Additionally KAMs just plain don’t make sense in the mental health space for all the reasons you know. Namaste


The only difference between a TLL and I mean the ONLY difference is being able to take doctors out to eat. Their one superpower ($125 winner winner chicken dinner) is actually their biggest downfall and is why you can’t tie them to any quantifiable metric. The Alkermes way of having TLLs act like they have “money in their pocket” (direct quote) for speakers is to covertly or overtly say: you’ll get more programs if you say it this way, ad boards, special consulting crap and on and on. Marketing looks down on TLL anyway because it is not real marketing and never can be….it’s a dumping ground for people who couldn’t cut it as a manager or a sales rep or just trying to hide from the metric police or themselves….yeah it’s that deep


If you kiss ass as a rep and get doctors programs you are now an Alkermes TLL…congratulations

For most coming from the field to the TLL role, I think it's usually a net/net pay cut. Sure, they make their bonus if they have a pulse like the rest of the employees at home office, but it's not like some cushy, heavily overpaid role like kams.

Our TLL also has no problem letting everyone they sleep in and make their own schedule without any over sight. You must be a TLL and don’t want anyone to know you are paid for little to no work.
