Is Lee Anderson still VP

PO getting fired up huh!! Look, Oncotype does indeed sell itself… you can admit it. A 20 year old product that is in the guidelines, has majority of share, hundreds of articles published, etc etc. What alternatives to customers have honestly? Same thing goes for us in screening… CG is just about in a similar boat. I don’t know how ST,PF, or LA are but change is constant. Screening team had this happen multiple times… company is trimming the fat and the shit reps.

only about 300 reps to go then

If all the company cared about was entering calls…then 90% of ROLs would be exited from the company tomorrow. We don’t do this uniformly and aren’t held to any standard, so why would we.

and if you think that this test has no differentiating features from Tempus then it is no wonder you cannot sell in this space. Reminder…we sold even less MAP and that had many differentiating features.

Our days of collecting checks for being a field based customer service rep for a product that is recommendation 1a on every guideline is over. It was hard work once. But this company needs sales reps who sell commodity products and outcompete competitors. It is rare in our business to get to sell a unicorn like odx or cg. Dont blame exact for shedding the team members that have forgotten what they were hired to don

Well, you are correct, I have never spent a day selling in oncology; however, the data shows less than 20% of oncologists engage with sales representatives. Unless we call dropping off literature at the front desk selling, the majority of oncology representatives have not spent one day selling in the oncology space. We all have plenty of friends that work in this space. Like The X Files…the truth is out there. Let us all just collect our paychecks until KC and Bozo figure this out. Doesn’t make any of us bad people. Unfortunately it is just our reality.
Guess that’s why across the industry oncology reps make the most by a huge margin…if it’s just dropping off literature then why aren’t you doing it too? You’d have to be a fool of a businessman to not take such a cakewalk and lucrative of an opportunity. Onc reps make more doing literature drops than any manager outside of oncology do at virtually all companies.

$300k a year is more than many of your primary care doctors make you moron.

In rural areas oncology positions open up rarely. Other companies want oncology experience so you get stuck unless you are willing to uproot the family which would not be wise for any of us. I’m not trying to put anyone down, just stating the facts about access and the job. For the life of me I have no idea why every company pays oncology reps more. At some point things will change. Agree, collect the check until the guys at the top figure it out.

Wait....please explain to me why a medonc would switch from Tempus to Extra? Even marketing specifically told the sales force "not to go head-to-head with Tempest.....you won't win." We have about 10 territories consistently moving Extra and one of those territories has City of Hope satellite offices to call on and good for him....I would maximize that too. But hell, even City of Hope just added Tempus to the list of approved tests! So if you think we were set up for success you must work in either marketing or training. If you have an academic territory, you are royally screwed. Those cancer centers run their own in-house panels. No EMR and NO DATA.....were the FUCK is our data! The validation data that shows 40% additional mutations identified using RNA was in ped hem patients. That is why we don't have any clinicals to sell from.....not even our validation study. About 10 territories have double digit sales in Q1 but y'all just keep pointing the finger at the ROL......PS - that was the worse NSM I have ever attended. But I will keep my mouth shut, collect paycheck, 4% raise and my bonus dollars working 10am - 2pm everyday.....toxic, fear driven environments = actively disengaged sales force.

Trimming the fat? Dude you have no idea what you are talking about. Jim Stuart cannot hold a candle to Lee Anderson. Wasn't Jim Stuart part of the executive leadership team that drove Invitae into bankruptcy? Yes, he was. And that is who we bring in to run PO? The guy literally has no genomics (ODX) or NGS (Extra) experience.....but he will never push back on Everett the way Anderson did. Anderson wanted what was best for the sales force because ultimately that is what is best for Exact.

Invitae didn’t go bankrupt because of sales… sales were in-fact booming, and Invitae dominated the market. They went bankrupt because they weren’t getting paid for their service, was far from profitable, and they took on way too debt as a result of poor decisions and failed acquisitions. Now for us, we also had some terrible acquisitions. We’re just trying to make the best of a shit situation.

Holy crap. Listen to the earnings call. Kevin is no longer the wizard of Wall Street. Everett is just in way over his head. He says the same crap on every earnings call. Ah yeah, we have the best reps in the industry with robust data and marketing provides us the right message to the right customer. Every damn earnings call. You are the COO for goodness sake. Sound a bit more intellectual with the analysts please. There is a reason you have never been asked a question on a call. Jeff comes across with data and facts. Knows his business and is authentic unlike the other two. Kevin can sling it with the best but everything keeps getting pushed back. He cannot be happy with what he hears on these calls. Bring back Lee!!!

Invitae sales were booming?? Tells me how much you know about the genomics market

Jeff knows what exactly? Sounds distracted and overwhelmed- not sure what relationships he is building or what vision he sees. There is damage in paradise and being oblivious will only have another sunken ship on his resume. Not comforted with a weak background at failed companies. Seeing another person focused on golfing not a being a member of a team. Then will point fingers saying its the sales team that doesn’t know how to sell. Well fierce leaders you go get to work and get in front of customers and listen to what they are saying.

Agree 100%! Bring back Lee and his team.....but honestly I would be disappointed if they came back.....this place is terrible. But my promotion with a fat raise and my RSUs just came through so I am LMAO all the way to the bank!

Ok fair point. But when will Brian B be held accountable for the MAP and Extra shit show? F'ing over Anderson, Freeberry, and Thompson was a BS move. Also, the worst NSM I have ever attending. Marketing's push was for the total account call.....how to build relationships?!?! Are you kidding me? That is the epitome of a "yes sir" culture. No body but Anderson and his team had the balls to push back. And yes we are trying to make the best of a horrible situation.

Anyone who isn’t “leadership” is in the same boat. It’s a sad time really… BB clearly doesn’t know what is going on. He just loves pushing his unique ideas that will never actually work in clinical practice.

did everyone get fat raises this year? My manager acted like he pulled some strings and did something special raising it from 4% to 7%. Wondering if he was blowing smoke?

4 was the average but I heard it’s pretty common for raises to be unfairly distributed because so many managers here don’t award actual performance but whether you play the game, the unfair part being a lot of underperforming and unqualified are rewarded
