Is ConMed a nice company to work for?

Apparently, it depends on what division of ConMed you work for. I work for ConMed, have bennies, base + commission, expenses + car allowance and mileage. Well compensated. I also work with great people and have great products recently launched as well as in the pipeline. In my opinion, ConMed is a good company to work for (in my division--EndoSurgery).

If you stay quiet and just roll with the punches, you can make good money. Unless you're an engineer. They seem to be treated the worst. The best position is the manager/team leader. You can walk around, eat food, take 10 minute bathroom breaks, and leave early. Just don't get caught.

Hey there Mr. Happy,

Have your EndoSurgery peeps get in touch with AS and let them know about car allowance and mileage. Sounds like a good concept for outside sales people.

You guys are a joke.

No, not at all. It is profit over people. They bought Buffalo Filter and fired nearly the entire company. Tried to offer a severance that was a token amount and was tied to a strict non compete that would have prevented work in most sectors of medical devices. The leadership, all the way up to CEO Curt Hartman, VPs Bill Peters and George Trutza lie to your face and celebrate it when not in your company.
Cannot trust them at all.

It is profit over people. They let you know there’s no friends in business.
