Is ConMed a nice company to work for?

huh? What do you mean by that?

The disposable custom pack tray companies are coming out with knockoffs. Why would you want to sell outside of the trays?

Customers know that the contracts that Valley and Conmed push are total bullshit.

If it is in endo or scopes, then yes take the job.
If it is electro – run for the hills. There are open positions for a reason. Everyone is jumping ship now that Conmed’s manufacturing leads are exposed.

Best of luck

If Rick huen is still the NSM stay away.......that guy never addresses the sales force, via VM, e-mail, or in person without making a refference to "people losing their jobs if they don't start selling more" I worked for that @#*%@(!!!!! for 2 years! Stay away!

I’ve just completed my first year with ConMed Linvatec. To answer the question whether or not it is a good company to work for…the answer is an emphatic yes.

Depending on the territory, ConMed is either run via distributorship or is factory direct. Regarding guaranteed income…it depends on the manager and the recruited rep. I was given a guaranteed income, but my territory surpassed it and was decent enough to pay over $100K the first year.

Regarding management…I’m sure it is like any other company, some managers are better than others.

Regarding benefits…I have full benefits: medical, dental, vision, matching 401K and ESPP. No car benefits.

ConMed has terrific products, but marketing is conservative since the niche the company pursues is High End. 1080p autoclavable video, bomb-proof power, no-nonsense sports medicine and full integration (the only companies which do this, besides ConMed, are Stryker and Storz…NOT Steris).

Finally, ConMed hires very nice people…mostly educated men and women, not failed sports people/meatheads. Also, at ConMed, obtaining only 19% annual growth does not get you fired.
