Doubtful since there is so many senior mangers who are cold-hearted, dishonest, immoral, soul-sucking vampires. How can anyone be happy? Just reading these various posts is a testament.
Need I even go as far as saying corporations like this are the modern version of concentration camps (although I realize you can't really make a comparison). You get pushed around, humiliated, shamed, over-worked, victimized and then you are sent to your execution (lay-offs, getting fired or being forced to resign because the environment makes you sick). There simply must be a better work environment out there in the world? One can hope...
 






I agree with the first post. Interesting metaphor. There is an insidious cancer growing under a certain group in Chesterbrook and I hope for everyone's sake someone is watching, taking notes and doing something about it behind the scenes.
 






Are you serious? Concentration camps? WTF? No one is forcing you to be there. There are millions of people unemployed and can not pay their bills or even put food on the table. You are getting paid to drive around and drop coupons off and talk to 6 doctors a day for a total of 1 minute per call.
Show some sympathy for the real people that are struggling out there.
 












Not many can be happy. The constant fear of reaching your goals and then hearing that it's not good enough because the nation was 2% above you. I guess our goals don't mean much unless your ahead of everyone else.
 






Maybe your comprehension is off. I made an extreme metaphor to bring my point across. If you took it literally that's your issue. Read what I mentioned in parentheses.
Before you react so harshly - READ please. Do you find it that easy to find a job? Is your solution to "just leave" even close to pragmatic thinking? You must be living on another planet then me, because the last time I checked 15million ppl are jobless. Thanks

I read it. You sound like a moron no matter what you put in parentheses. We have it pretty good here. A lot better than most. Go to work.

Are you referring to NB and Jerry T? Right on the $. She can't keep reps. They keep quiting and transfering on her. Turnover is horrible in that region. Thanks to good ole NB!
 












Who cares??? How about all the reps that actually work hard and do their job, only to be told it's not good enough even though they hit their quarterly goal!!!! JT sucks!!

Tape record her ass when she says anything like that. Especially anything that goes against compliance if possible..quit bitching about it or do something about it!

I hope you don't really think its that easy. HR and compliance are there to cover up any compliance issues and make them not seem so bad. There was one region that was interviewed by outside Attorneys concerning some compliance issues and after the investigation interviews they received correspondence that said something like - we have found the region to be "generally compliant" and closed the case. Way to set the standard and accept "generally compliant". What a joke.

Somebody needs to get her ass on tape. She constantly is crossing the line as far as ethics religion etc.. That guy she married has no freaking clue what he stepped into.

And, this is why Shire is so inferior bc they have employees that use vanaculars like "moron" to express themselves and have no shred of professionalism. Do you talk talk this way off the company boards? If you do, how are you still employed?

Why am I not surprised by this?
 






I'm in Corporate and I enjoy my job, I enjoy working with many employees throughout the organization. Before Shire, I was a consultant for 10 years and worked with 50+ companies and saw how the majority or companies work. Shire by far offered the best culture, benefits and quality of life. If I began to feel differently, I would pack my bags and look for a new job. There will be many people that are desperate to Work for a good, profitable, growing company that would flock to the opening I would leave behind. So really the choice is yours. If I were as unhappy as you appear to be, I would direct my energy to finding work in an environment that suits me. Finding others that feel the same as you is not going to fix your personal situation.
