Is anyone experiencing issues with the recruiting agency

I have found them to be extremely unprofessional, lack the courtesy of any type of follow up, confusion regarding steps in process, this has become extremely frustrating. Please share your experiences.

Totally Disagree. I have worked with them in the past and they are extremely honest, helpful, professional, and overall good people to work with. This process overall has been slow, just b/c the approval isn't until late March, so I understand the frustration, but everything so far has gone the way they (the recruiters) had said it would go for months. Patience is a tough thing for all of us, but hopefully the outcome is worth it!.......

I had a phone screen early this week and was told that I was a very strong candidate and would be contacted very soon regarding the next step in the process but have heard nothing since.
Is anyone else experiencing this sort of issue?

Yes, very similar I was told I should be hearing from the hiring Mgr for phone screen, have not heard anything, over a week ago. Very unorganized they must be very busy.

The recruiters have been bombarded with resumes, emails, phone calls, etc. If you have not received a phone screen from a hiring manager by now, chances are that the recruiter did not forward your information to the hiring manager. The hiring managers are finishing up the phone screens and some have even started their face to face interviews already. The final candidates will fly out for final interviews the first few weeks of March.

I also had a brief phone screen this week and was told that someone would contact me, I got a email from him on Friday and had to fill out a form and set up another phone screen for Monday- but this is not with anyone from the company, it's still the recruiting firm, so I am not sure what that means, I assume they are still interested and I am moving forward

I am not sure that I agree with above poster, why would recruiter tell you to expect a call from the Mgr and then not receive one, that would not make sense. I understand they are bombarded, but maybe this project is too big for this agency??

Months???

I was screened twice by the recruiter. The next step is for the recruiter to send you a form which goes to the hiring manager for screening. If you have not received this form you have not been moved on to the manager yet.

Can anyone give me some insight as to what type of questions they are asking, what the hot buttons are- past sales number, launching new drugs, years in the terr, relationships with Cardiologist? Are the questions heavy with STAR? I have my second screen with the recruiter and just want to know what other have been experiencing, I for one am very excited about this company and the opportunity

The reality is that the organization is there from a hiring perspective, we've just been fortunate to have had a surplus of highly qualified candidates.

So far we have all been impressed with the recruiting agency; they are the initial point of screening and subsequently gather information to send to the hiring managers. If you have not been contacted by a hiring manager after working through the initial phase with the recruiters, then your geographic area likely has applicants who fit the desired qualifications better.

We (the RBD's) simply get ten or so resumes and phone screen bio's each day (per open territory) and have to make tough decisions while distilling down to who we perceive to be the best people to call and eventually see face to face.

Anyone who has gone through any F2F interview certainly deserves to get a call back, but if you are not contacted by a hiring manager after the initial recruiter phase, then you are likely not moving on in the process (I stress "likely", as there are always territories with challenged staffing logistics where the timeline will be elongated).
Thank you everyone.

I am new to this process with the recruiter, was recently contacted for phone interview, I am now a little concerned based on all of these posts. If there is no interest in a candidate after phone screen (s), why wouldn't this info be relayed to candidate. This would avoid all of this guessing and confusion (ie likely).

I am having a phone screen as well, does anyone have any insight into what they are really looking for? lot of experience (pharma) or selling orphan drugs? selling to cardio, neuro? all of the above?

They ask you why you would be good for the job, bwahahaha. What a loser, you'll never be hired.

Who is the recruiter? I sent my information to Chelsea HR per the website. While I am sure there are a number of very well qualified candidates, I know that my background and experience is identical to what they are looking for...and still not even a call. I am beginning to think that if Chelsea doesn't even have the sense to even send a 'flush' letter to candidates who have applied, I am not sure they will give a damn about their people once they are on board.

There are tremendous amount experienced reps out there and sometimes not everyone gets contacted. The recruiter is contacting a specific type including orphan sales experience.
