NOT DEFEATING TRACKING SAVING BATTERY WITH AIRPLANE MODE ....THEY NEVER SAID DON'T PUT IT IN AIRPLANE MODE... I WORK ALL DAY BUT DON'T NEED CONSTANT SUPERVISION

Lol, saving battery??? Total BS! The battery life of the iPad is one of the reasons PSS switched to it in the first place. These things can go on for days without being plugged in to charge. Give me a break.

Today, after only a few days of the iPad rollout, I wrote up a warning to one of my reps. I already had some doubts about her work hours and signatures. Long story short, there were glaring inconsistencies and the iPad further supported my assumptions. With the shit she's in, she's lucky to just have gotten off with a warning.

Just sayin, line an i-pad sized box with foil (maybe a couple of layers. put the i-pad in this when you are in between calls. It should block the gps signal.

The battery is drained by 2:00 I thought it was supposed to last longer than the other laptops.i think they told us in training to turn it in airplane mode to prolong the battery. I am going to do that and see if the battery will last longer

The problem is you're heading out too early in the morning. Don't leave home until 11:00 and see if your battery makes it through the whole day. ;.p

The battery drains by lunch and there is a time stamp no matter what just like the lap top... look at the activity log seriously conserve the energy they know exactly where you are anyways. Which is really is a NON-Issue for the 90%

You who are saying the battery life is an issue are full of crap. The iPads were shipped with a car charger. Use it. Oh and use your brain too, if you have any at all.

Here's the thing: any attempt to defeat location tracking will only send up a red flag and put you under the microscope even more. You will be singled out for attempting to defeat the location tracker. Also, the iPads regularly send out activity logs whenever you synchronize. I'm one of those that examines these activity logs. It will confirm that you attempted to defeat tracking and/or searched for porn.

Worked with my manager. Manager said he has no idea how to track someone on ipad.
Told me just do the job and stop listening to paranoid individuals.

My manager is so cool he treats me like an adult and said he is not tracking us we are adults and professional. I average 6 signatures a day. He said all was good with me. If your manager tells you scare tactics, they are bullying you. I think some managers try to be control freaks. Remember management we are part time

my manager told me I am not allowed to have my computer in airplane mode ever. I told her it conserves the battery. She said she didn't care and use car charger. My numbers are good and I do what I am supposed to do. I am a professional and want to be treated like one. This job is not worth it anymore.

I did find the picture quality is much better for viewing on an iPad. Plus, it's much easier to hold with one hand than my PC ever was

I think the point here is if we are going to be treated like this we might as well resume the role of a full time rep..you know with paid vacation, benefits, car, perks.i get the point to what the general feeling here is. We took this job as a part time flex time job, it has turned into almost full time expectations without the pay car and benefits. I do my best and work my job. I don't like this micro management . I am just saying...I think it is time to look for full time, might as well at this point.

MICROMANAGEMENT AND DM HAND-HOLDING IS THE HALLMARK OF PUBLICIS! I have had more than one office complain that I bring my DM in too often! With so many offices closing their doors to DM's (and reps!), you would think that UPPER MANAGEMENT would get the damn message! Back off the field rides and let us do our jobs!
