interviews have begun

So what if we get bought out...it will be a big payday and we can always get another job because we can sell and we have relationships with our customers. They will buy from us as long as we are not selling sh**.

wow, a couple thousand options with a $25 increase above their strike price will result in $50K before taxes, after taxes it will be enough to pay for a year of college tuition or buy a new car. hardly a BIG payday, but good luck, you're gonna need it.

Dummy I beleive the poster was referring to those of us who have been at Onyx for a while, which many of us have been here since the launch of Nex...keep on hating dummy.

Why are you still posting on here? We get it. You don’t think the risk of taking a job with Onyx is worth the reward for the multitude of reasons you have droned on about since this thread started. Look I’m all for banter on here but seriously you just keep posting the same thing over and over again and it is getting stale. Much to your chagrin Onyx will be able to build a sales force and I’m sure your retort will sound something like this, (so let me save you’re the trouble), “well they built a sales force with big pharma hacks”. Fine, we get it. You only respect a company who fills every vacancy or available position with someone from a biotech oncology company that is not big pharma. Understood.

Again I’m not sure what your hard-on is for Onyx, but it has to be one of four things:

1. You worked here and left/got fired and you’re pissed you missed the recent stock run.
2. You never got called for an interview even after your repeated attempts to secure one. 3. You had an interview and did not get the job.
4. You work for Celgene or Millennium and are trying to stir the pot against a new competitor.

Any one of those reason is lame and that you continue to post boring and redundant posts is just silly.

Hey ass-wipe, there's no way to determine the context of what the author meant from their post, regardless of what you believe; and when you learn how to spell "believe" correctly, then perhaps you can legitimately call someone else a dummy. Until then, you remain affectionately known as ass-wipe.

Ok dummy...

Wow, I’ll take a typo or misspelling of a word over lack of logical thinking and reading comprehension any day of the week, dummy!

Let’s use your posts dummy, where you accurately state, “Wow, a couple thousand options with a $25 increase above their strike price will result in $50K before taxes, after taxes it will be enough to pay for a year of college tuition or buy a new car. hardly a BIG payday…”

If you used any logic and had any reading comprehension skills you should have been able to deduce that if someone was posting “so what if we get bought out...it will be a big payday”, it was not from a new hire, but someone who has been at Onyx long enough to make a ‘big payday’ from a buyout? I’m pretty certain that no new hires think that a $25 pretax profit on 2000 shares is a ‘big payday’.

I get it, logical thinking is not your thing…Now go craft your unfunny and unwitty response so I can make more fun of your lack of intellect. Oh and keep hating…hate rots you from the inside out…so that will be fun for you. BTW just so you know, I’ve been here since the beginning and I don’t need a buyout for a big payday…I could roll out right now and never work another day in my life…that ought to piss you off – hater!

Based upon your deductions here, you must be a fuckin' mind reader to know what other people meant. You are truly wasting your talent here, you should be in the White House.

Let's try this logic. The post about the big payday was #81 in the thread. It was posted on 7/8 at 4:53 pm. The prior post, uh that would be #80 was on 7/8 and was posted at 3:17pm and it directly referenced a buyout and stated that if you were in the new Hem division and the buyer had a Hem division that you'd be out on your ass.

Now stick with me here brainiac this where it gets tough, given the sequence of the post, the close proximity to one another and the mention of a buyout in both it would appear logical that post #81 was a direct response to post #80 and if that is the case and post #80 also referenced a Hem employee being out of work, it would also appear logical that perhaps the poster responding in #81 was in fact a newly hire Hem rep as opposed to someone like yourself.

ok, ok, I know that was taxing for you so take the day off tomorrow ass-wipe. By the way, I definitely don't hate you, pity you yes, hate no.

Please…don’t need your pity…I’m doing just fine. A lot better than you, I can assure you,...and I don’t need to be a mind reader to know that. Again thanks for proving that you are off your meds with that disjointed and (yawn), boring journey of time stamps and post #’s you took us on. Stellar work Colombo, way to connect the dots! You must be a big fan of The Da Vinci Code or you have CSI Miami on ‘Season Pass’. Boy if I should get a job at The White House clearly you should be the Head of the FBI with online forensic skills like that!

Again have fun posting on a board for a company that you don’t work for, or want to work for…that just oozes logic…

depressing to read all of these immature and unprofessional posts. This was a great company, now its just got a bunch of big pharma rejects working for it. The original folks that took the risk to come here when it was a start up and who have been there 3 years or longer can't wait to be bought out then they won't have to put up with this kind of crap.

Agreed. Guarantee very few of these of these posts are from Onyx people. It’s primarily disgruntled people who did not get cfz job offers…once the dust settles, and cfz and rego launches, this board will go dark again.

We only have ourselves to blame. Was good til they brought SV to run MM launch. He hired big pharma losers now we have a big pharma mentality running part of the company.
Gotta look at the man in the mirror.

Couldnt agree more. Who had the leash on this guy? Novartis, Aventis, gosh dam, makes no sense.

What is SV's background, dont know much about him? Was he big pharma ass kisser??

SV is part of the Chiron mafia that is infused throughout Onyx. RK (RIP), SG, DD, JW, etc.
His last gig was at Milennium working for another ex Chiron guy. No real big pharma lineage.

I guess I missed it, while I was blind sided by a take over by big pharma with my company... I applied online just in general because there were no postings in my area. Seems like they have everyone in place.. You never know with small biotech companies big pharma has the money to take over and then the culture changes... Sounds like you guys are going to have a great launch.. Congrats

Yes you missed the chance to make ZILCH on your options and be unemployed 3 months down the road. Fork out your money to buy a new car and be 20th in line drug. Oh well, there is a Walmart popping up in every other zip code.

Aw did you not get the job…my options are already profitable and if we get bought tomorrow it will take close of year to close the deal all while I’m making 20% on my base, a car allowance and mileage that pays for my car, insurance, etc 100%, and experience in a new tumor type . Add to that a few months’ severance if we are laid off and accelerated vesting of my options, that sure I won’t make a million but I’ll make 80K to 100K just for having a short cup of coffee. Also who’s to say they layoff the sales force anyway? I could hang here and if the awesome culture that we have here at Onyx goes away I’ll collect the paycheck while looking for my next gig. Also, I now have met and am building a completely new network of people in the Bay Area Biotech scene and btw I know that I’m one of the best reps in my geography and never have a shortage of opportunities thrown at me. BTW that’s the ‘WORST CASE SCENARIO” The best case is we stay independent for a few years, I collect more options, make more money than I ever made on base and bonus and few years from now I DO make a million plus on my options, grants, and espp! No way to lose on this one pal if you have a set!

Look I get it, you’re not confident in your skills so you take the safest tack for fear of being out of work. You’re not that good at what you do or you do not have a good network or your physicians are not referring you to good companies so you don’t get the good jobs.

Keep hating, because things at Onyx are awesome!
