He is right, we designed this when the economy was good, unless it has economic evidence behind it we are going to have a tough road ahead.

Maybe you should spend a day in my shoes, I'm not designing a fucking mousetrap with 3 moving parts and if it fails boo hoo your mouse got away. I'm trying to save your mother's asshole so she doesn't have to shit in a bag the rest of her life and I could come up with something to do that in a week but I have to wait 6 months for marketing to validate that your mom doesn't really want to shit in a bag and then Strategic to tell me that we really want to be in the bag shitting elimination business, then I have to wait for them to tell me how much your mom is willing to pay not to shit in a bag which means I have to cut the design down to only 150 components, then I need legal to tell me I can actually use all 150 components, quality to verify all 150 vendors of all 150 components can make them perfect 100% of the time, operations to tell me that someone with a third grade education can assemble 150 components perfectly 100% of the time, packaging to tell me if you leave them in your trunk in alaska or florida that they'll work 100% of the time, regulatory to prove that your mom's asshole will be saved 100% of the time, clinical to prove why your mom is better with her asshole intact and so on and if just one thing goes wrong, I have to start the entire process over. I stand by Covidien products because I know what goes in to making them work and if you think any other device company doesn't have to go through the same rigorous process then you should be selling chinese mousetraps for home depot instead of medical devices. I haven't got a bonus in 5 years because not only do I have to worry about you hitting your numbers, I have to worry if some asshole on the assembly line stubs his toe or drinks too much the night before and forgets to seal an entire lot of meshes so we have to recall an entire product line. So don't be down on the development team, we like our shitty New Haven Pizza and we're just trying to make sure your mom can eat hers too.

Why are adverse events being reported as manufactured by United States Surgical?
Covidien (NYSE: COV), a leading global provider of healthcare products, today announced published data demonstrating that the Company's first powered surgical stapling system provides deeper access, better visibility and easier placement inside the low pelvis than a competing mechanical stapling device.
Dont forget that this technology was not developed by you dipshits. This performance breakthrough is 11 years old. Even though Covidien thinks the're innovators, all you've done in the last 20 years is buy someone elses technology and then present it as your own. Covidien must think everyone is an idiot that reads these releases.
