Leave PMO out of it?.... Are you kidding me?
In all reputable companies the buck stops with PMO. The reason companies need PMO in the first place is so someo e can take charge of efforts from multiple functions and can be held responsible. Remember, in PMP 101 project leader picks his/her team, the team he thinks will deliver success. Don't blame other functions if project leader does not know how to lead. If not for responsibility why in the world one needs PMO then.

Knowing the VP of PMO (Randy L, the high school diploma holder) what can one expect? A disaster.

3 year anniversary of the PMI acquisition coming up in a couple weeks. Just how successful has this program been at 42,000 open mindland. The problem with having that many open minds is everyone is open to the potential for failure...so nothing moves forward....and we fail anyway. Start looking for some closed minds that can get crap done....boneheads.
 






Powered Stapling should be a case study in product integration and project management failure. PMO should start writing the paper and at least claim some kind of success.....duh.

What's your PMO obsession? Did RL kill your dog, steal your wife or get the job you wanted? Ummm, that's an interesting notion. There are plenty of other problems at Coviden. Start with the head of R&D and work your way down for some originality in these boards. Easy to blame the PMO all the time to take the eyes off R&D.

Try attending one of their meetings as attendees text, have side conversations, look at their laptops, talk on their phones...it's pathetic and so is the PMO Group for letting it happen.

Who is running R&D?
 
























We've pissed away at least 100mil on this disaster so far. When will the bleeding be stopped......200mil....300mil. We're so proud of how much is spent on R&D but what good is it if there is no return? It would have been cheaper to give everyone that has worked on this project 500k each to do nothing.

Dispassionate spending of dollars, euros, rupees, pounds, yen and reals all in the name of world class globalization.
 


















No way the Ultra Powered POS is going to hit the 4th qtr...what a bunch of BS....and even if it does it will be quickly and quietly pulled after the flood of failures just like the Powered POS RALC.
