Intarcia Therapeutics

Go Away Troll. People are beggin to join our sales force and disrupt the diabetes market. We will be fully staffed and on the path to blockbuster status by April 1 2018. Intarcia plans to announce our sales success and celebrate our Investors on that day.

Yeah! And we have hired sales VPs and Managers and are keeping them very busy! Yeah!!!

I think there will be some layoff but not shut the whole Hayweird plant impacting mostly low level production and QC workers. That said they are better off shit can the whole plant expanded by knee jerk reaction hodge podge manner and build a new cleanrooms inside the warehouse structure.

Indeed the ULT rats whose hairs are on fire are busy rearranging the deck chairs while playing fiddle to assuage the freaked out workforce actively looking for jobs. I give it another 3-6 months till more marketable ULT members leave in droves jumping the ship on to the rubber dinghies while the guilty as hell old ULT members shoot arrows to deflate the rubber dinghies.

And in a year it will be all over or sooner if the rumour is true bout DoJ Boston is investigating...

Woah! What rumor???

screw you troll. We are going to disrupt the market and cure compliance. You small mind can't understand how big we are. Everyone get FDA feedback when they make a first filing. It's how the FDA tests to see if we are ready. We need more people because the launch will be the biggest ever.

Heard a rumour that Boston will face blunt of firings of those hired to prepare for the launch with little to do? Not just those involved with launch but other worthless shindig shit like customer experience and design?

Glad to here that the Bay Area will not be sharing the pain alone. We get the abuse without recognition.

Ref #386. Not a good sign when DoJ and journalist are fishing for info.

Bull Shit one of the beauties of staying private is there's no enforcement. We can fleece and dump all we want. If you want a reality check watch "Wolf of Wall Street" that's what Intarcia is all about.....

My name is Jordan Belfort. I'm a former member of the middle class raised by two accountants in a tiny apartment in Bayside, Queens. The year I turned 26, as the head of my own brokerage firm, I made $49 million, which really pissed me off because it was three shy of a million a week. (all right a small town in Michigan)

The name of the game, moving the money from the client's pocket to your pocket.

Jordan Belfort: Let me tell you something. There's no nobility in poverty. I've been a poor man, and I've been a rich man. And I choose rich every fucking time.

Jordan Belfort: [narrating to the camera] An I.P.O. is an initial public offering. It's the first time a stock is offered for sale to the general population. Now as the firm taking the company public, we set the initial sales price then sold those shares right back to our friends. Yet...

[stops and chuckles]

Jordan Belfort: Look, I know you're not following what I'm saying anyway, right? That's... that's okay, that doesn't matter. The real question is this: was all this legal? Absolutely fucking not. But we were making more money than we knew what do with.

Did I tell them the pump was once a year - sure I did. Did I tell them it would sell billions - sure I did. But listen kid where do you think I got that fucking Pelaton bike ? From the fucking investors you schmuck.

So sad to see where we have ended. My friends, tomorrow I am calling in sick to have more time for mailing resumes. The recruiter confirmed that there are too many Intarcia resumes on the market. What about recognition that we wanted to make a difference ? Its a bad time of year to be at risk of layoffs.

Find a good "Qui Tam " attorney near you. You pay nothing. If the government intervenes, then your attorney's take a cut of the "Realtor's" portion of the total company dollar fine. Make sure that these attorney's have won big Qui Tam cases. Do a Google search.

True... Reached out to a headhunter and he said the same thing that about 1/2 the company flood the market be it recruiters, Indeed or job openings. A friend also said they were deluged with Intracia people for couple of open reqs and said those CVs are placed on "bottom of the barrel" by company recruiter due to request from the hiring managers.

Frankly lot of us feel duped. Never in my long career I've heard such discouraging words. Guess guilt by association but Intarcia did hire a lot, fast and some people with dubious qualifications. And the very recruiters who made lot of money are reticent to place people they dumped at Intarcia.

Don’t beat yourself up, dude. I can see why everyone was enamored. After all who doesn’t like and want to believe in unicorns? Especially when they’re seemingly valued and exclusively private. We all wanted a part of it and many of us succumbed to the hype and the idea that we could be a part of this elite, chosen flock.

Having graduated magna cum laude from the college of hard knocks I’ve learned that if it’s too good to be true then it’s not true. Starting with the fact that as a 22 year old company this was never a unicorn to begin with. Picture it for what it is: an old, tired mare with a fake horn super glued to its head by one big small-dicked huckster.

Leave Graves alone cos he is doubling down and diggin deeper hole which soon will swallow the whole damn company.

I kind a wish the ITCA got approved cos it would have been 1 of the biggest flop in the crowded GLP-1 space and now with Teva generic invasion... No payers will pay for this over the top price drug delivery toy. 1st year require 5 surgeries and 3 implants!

And there will be Holmes, Madoff and (fill in)

Instead, the huge new round consisting of $160 million in equity capital and $50 million in debt gives Intarcia cash to fund Phase III trials on ITCA-650, while maintaining full rights to a compound for which Graves says the regulatory risk is “as close to zero” as any project he’s encountered. Five institutional investors, including hedge fund operator The Baupost Group, debt specialist Farallon Capital management, multinational fund manager Fidelity Investments, and two other unnamed East Coast-based funds, joined existing backers New Enterprise Associates, New Leaf Venture Partners, and Venrock in the round.

Did he mean "as close to zero" chance of approval ?

Smart money bails in droves long before the CRL while dumb Asian money flows in.

Inquiring minds wanna know - why are all new investors from Asia? Why are the VC bailing out and selling their shares to Chinese?
