I am looking at a territory sales opportunity, I am well aware that the product currently fairly low volume and it’s been challenging to help providers get off the dime and prescribe. I have quite a bit of experience in cardiology and a lot of great relationships. My question is what does the Coverage look like now; are there a lot of rejects at the pharmacy level? I know there’s a pretty big unmet need with statin intolerance/ getting to goal, and I’m confident I can leverage my knowledge and relationships if coverage is decent. It also seems like there could be quite a bit of upside with the outcomes data release. Any insight from folks promoting the products is appreciated.

I think you should get a fair assessment of the state of the company by reading some of the threads. Managed care is weak and territories are huge. Check out the past quarterly reports to get a better picture of Esperion current financial status. Honestly this drug is a total niche drug with limited efficacy and place in the statin selling space. If your desperate for a job then take it and spend your time looking for something better. Good luck.

This is a joke right?? Sounds like an Esperion mole to me. Another PR post

Thanks for the feedback and yes there are some limitations, but it seems like things might be quite a bit different within a year. I understand the territories are big, one question I have is are there a lot of metrics for call frequency and coverage, Or is it more like if you’re pulling in the scripts then they don’t really care?

Maybe different in a year is a big stretch. Esperion has been saying the same things for the last 3 years about turning the corner, things are looking up, upticks in scripts. Esperion had 13 million in net sales in the US the last quarter. This should tell you something about how the product is being accepted in the market. There's micromanagement because there's a great deal of pressure to generate scripts. Many people were shown the door in 2020 and 2021 and this is how they downsized the salesforce. They had to cut budgets as the scripts just weren't coming. The pandemic hurt for sure but many pharma companies that launched in 2020 succeeded during the pandemic. If you need the job to pay the bills take it but you'll have to keep your ears open for something better. It won't take you long to realize this company isn't the most well run company. A few decent people in the Ann Arbor office but honestly the regional supervisors aren't an impressive bunch. Good luck to you.

Cardiology experience ? ESPR will put you through the Scientific Hiring Process, so the Managers can get names, info. and strategic information so they can take credit. Beware.

Can you explain what you mean by this? Of course I’m going to talk about my cardiology experience, relationships I have and thoughts about how to move business. That would be part of the interview process, right? Any idiot with experience could figure that out in about three months anyway. Is there something I’m missing here?

This will be an interview like nothing you've experienced in the past. This is all about poaching information. You'll be asked very specific territory questions and it will be for the sole purpose of gathering as much information as possible . 90% chance they already have a candidate there going to hire as soon as they interview as many of you as they can to gather information. For my interview they had it recorded with two devices and one of the regionals frantically wrote almost everything I said. Just know going in they already have somebody ready to be hired and your interview or interviews will be all about getting as much information from you on your cardiology contacts and relationships to gather intel. This is what the Scientific Interview Process is. It's dishonest and quite frankly a waste of your time. I wish you well but for somebody that was deceived and taken advantage of just beware as Esperion is rotten to the core. I'll be bashed for posting this but you sound like you wanted the truth and there you have it. Good luck.

Big stretch is an understatement, let's assume outcomes are positive (which is a huge freaking assumption) look to see what CV outcomes did for PCSK-9's, Repatha has been on the market for 7 years and is now just barely a bilion $ drug with much more impressive LDL-C lowering than Nexletol. Amgen might go into the black on Repatha, just prior to patent expiry.

And think about this. Praluent which was other PCSK9 inhibitor had the Outcomes data showing a lowering of CV death. Repatha didn't have this data but Sanofi pulled the plug on the drug and Regeneron rook it back. There might be 18 Praluent reps covering the country. Repatha is just now making some money this late in the life cycle. Esperion doesn't have a prayer in this market.

Oh my goodness this is awful, it sounds like they stole your valuable intellectual property. I’m gonna have to think twice about this one, have you considered filing a lawsuit? What a tremendous violation.

The worst is for the ones lucky enough to get hires had to sign a 16 page non-compete with all kinds of threats. They ended up not enforcing as Esperion was just trying to intimidate you. This is a very unethical company.

Actually, my first interview went great and I’ve got a second interview coming up. The company really has committed to a reset and a restart, and I’m thinking I want to be part of it. It seems like there’s tremendous upside over the next year or two, and I’ve really been impressed with the management team thus far. I’m hoping to get a solid offer that will bring me on board and make me part of this team. I do appreciate the feedback that has been received and I continue to poke around the margins. I feel like my cardiology friends will jump on board fairly quickly as they admit there are lots of patients that are not a goa.l

Nice try Ann Arbor lackey. There was no interview you liar. The word "upside" gave you away. Nobody will or has jumped on this in cardiology. You'll be laughed out of the office. Wait until you you have to answer side effect questions. You assholes in the home office just won't give up on this board. You know any rep comes to Cafepharma to get a vibe for the company. The sure volume of post here saying it's a dumpster fire full of fraud and deceit your still compelled to post such nonsense about how great the future is. The negative will continue for as long as possible to insure your bullshit Scientific Interview process is banned from the industry and your management team is locked up.

Now ESPR is talking about a " reset and restart ". Is this the Great Reset, Klaus ?
ESPR is running out of adjectives to appear as if they will be able to sell anything.
Earnings call coming soon. Won't be " pretty ".

I agree with this message.

As an update I think I may be going a different direction, looks like an opportunity in the cardiorenal area is a real possibility. I think ESPR is potentially promising, and I don’t think it would be a bad way to go, but I do like the idea of a bird in the hand. Thanks for the feedback, some of it was useful.
