Insight

Okay, now here's the bullshit. Here I was a couple of hours ago in a sample room waiting for the dr to stop by. Insight and call max are up and ready to go. Time goes by and now its 30 minutes later. Dr stops in and we go thru a 2 minute Onglyza presentation. No damn way in hell to get to Plavix, but I have to flip thru 7 screens to cover my ass and to make SAS. Now let's follow this through. I just made a 2 minute Ong call and falsified a PV call to cover my ass for start. Marketing will see a 35 minute call and think its the norm. Then the bullshit will start. Anyone else been in this situation yet?

We have to play the game because if the people at the top knew how often the call goes just like you said, or even shorter, they would start thinking to themselves, if this is the reality of the field, why do we even have so many reps and so many managers?

The first week we had insight I thought I would lose my mind. This week I decided that the damn thing is supposed to be a tool. If marketing wants info let them get it however they can but I am paid to sell and insight does not help me. I open the screen before I go into a call so it is ready to roll when I see the doctor. To wait to open the screen until the dr enters the room or closet or hall is stupid. If there are 3 docs in the office and I am in there for an hour they all get detailed from the same screens and I add them in when I get into the car after the call. I would like to open up insight in the morning and let it roll all day...just adding docs to it as I go through my day. The first week I missed a lot of selling opportunities because I was trying to play the game...not this week. You can either let this drive you crazy or use it to move sales. I hate it but it is what we have. Someone made a lot of money on the stupidity of whomever they sold this bill of goods to. It's a nightmare. If you have the time to "really" speak with a doc it is fine but it isn't realistic for the majority of our calls. Your whole detail can take the time insight takes to load to a different product.

Two things came out of my year end assessment. First, they are monitoring Insight. There was a report showing what % of the time reps use Insight. I was told the expectation is 100%. Second, although hisg is preparing for Insight they are only expected to use it once a day! So once a day they sit in a hospital lobby and fake it (like most of their calls). If this is such a great tool why are they only using it once a day?

Make no mistake, Insight will be used as a hammer. They paid millions for the software, therefore you will see pressure ratchet up in 2011 going forward. They know everything used in the tool, including pages, time per page, etc.

who is post number 47?? Why bash the hospital reps?? You think your better then them??
Being a hospital rep is much more challenging then being a rep that only goes in the clinics.

Just remember starting in April there will be NO MORE hospital reps! The ONCE a day use of insight will be a thing of the past. All reps in Cardiovascular division will be calling on hospitals, clinics and offices. And all will be treated the same. The times they are a changing!

Like PSR reps do ANYTHING different, you guys think taking a meal in is making sales. All reps are an overpaid joke!

April 1 can't come soon enough. We'll all be on a level playing field. No more loafing by hisg. My hospital rep is lazy & entitled (no, that doesn't apply to all hisg reps). I will enjoy every last moment of this.
