The theft of the documents from Amgen was a big discussion at the COA meeting in Florida. The fact that Genentech hired an individual from Iowa that turned over confidential loyalty discounts sheets while employed at Amgen is not sitting well. Evidently, division managers, a RM, Compliance and outside knew about the activity and covered it up. Genentech hired an individual openly involved in theft and turned over documents during the hiring process. Why was this person hired? Why was the manager not terminated? Why did Genentech hire outside legal counsel?
There is disgust with Amgen as well since they were aware of the culprit from Iowa involved with the theft. Amgen has not sent out a notice about the breach of data. Amgen has not shared Informatiom on the culprit involved from Iowa and what legal action is being taken against the culprit and against Genentech.
Interesting to see Genentech involved with corporate theft from Amgen. What leadership?
Why would the head of HR at Genentech tout a system where the theft of documents from Amgem would considered a pathway to employment at Genentech? Clearly given how many fingerprints are on these documents it wouldbe hard to deny.
What was the compliance guru thinking hiring outside legal counsel to call around and destroy documents? Dude, you and your HR/Legal Eagle friends should have been showing people the door. You should be terminated.
