Huge Layoffs Coming in October 2024

Blackrock seems to think that ESG is more important than profitability. Blackrock, Vanguard, & State Street own nearly a quarter of all JNJ shares. Blackrock, Vanguard & State Street are the largest shareholders of each other, so effectively these 3 stooges are led by Blackrock. JNJ has scheduled meetings several times a year with their top shareholders where the 3 stooges led by Blackrock dictate to JNJ how to run the company. Larry Fink runs Blackrock, and he is a registered Democrat. Larry Fink's college degree was in political science, so he effectively tells corporations to start operating like the Democratic party. As for the corporate taxes, there are always loopholes left open for these corporations to exploit.

All true, not rumors. True CVM was let go. Was in "Innovative Medicine" here and October 25 was my separation date. I received 30 day notice and was not considered for any open positions I applied for because they are not back filling. When I asked about 60 day WARN (in CA), HR told me my role was not eligible. Not sure why, because by CA labor law I thought they had to give a minimum of 2 months notice. And, I know colleagues in other states, such as NJ, that got 60 days notice. Globally, 10% layoffs and this is not BS. Layoffs will continue through December. And to top it off, many internal NJ folks "found" new roles like "Division Head, Learning Excellence." WTF is that? And I asked another NJ colleague how she "found" her new role. She said it was created because there was a "need." Quite honestly, don't want to work for a company the talks CREDO but doesn't walk the walk. So disappointing.

Yes in APAC office, roles that were made redundant a few weeks ago opened up for rehiring, either higher PG or contractual? WTF.
 






Even if there's another 10-20% layoffs done at the middle management layer, things will still continue to operate as normal. There's too many deadweight incompetent directors who build teams that have roles duplications just to fortify their own "empires" within the company. These teams ended up becoming middlemen and messengers!!
