How's the Almatica contract going?

Everything on the Amplity end has been great. That’s about where it stops.

Almatica is an extremely poorly run company. Training was a mess, and the managers at Almatica stink.

The drug they have our reps are selling is just repackaged Ativan which launched almost 50 years ago. Almatica somehow managed to get the drug approved without doing a single phase 3 clinical study. All of the safety and tolerability info on the drug is taken from the phase 3 studies done on Ativan in the 70s, and anytime an HCP asks about clinical studies done on the drug our reps are selling they have to skirt around the question as best they can. It’s probably why the indication for the drug is so narrow, which makes selling it compliantly a nightmare.

Whoever works in market access at Almatica hasn’t accomplished anything in the few years the drug has been out. There’s little to no coverage across any channel of insurance. There isn’t a single plan in the country that this drug is the preferred brand in a generic only market. The best coverage they have is with a prior authorization or step edit.

Almatica has been throwing several repackaged generic drugs at their own field sales force and expects them to sell it with no back end support and no safety or efficacy data to back up their claims. They’ve given their reps 4 different drugs in the past 3 years and have pulled the plug on all but one of them, that being the drug they have our reps now selling.

Almatica is a Mickey Mouse company. It’s amazing they ever got a single drug approved and i don’t see how they could possibly turn a profit.
 








Hi on the Almatica side here and you're spot on we are all trying to get out in my region (West). The "top rep" and manager on our side happens to be my manager and we just had 2 more leave the company. It's a mess and they don't take anything setious which is a huge problem and we have actuallly had 10 or so other products come and go beside the one we copromote. They need to remove the RBM for the west and the "top rep" as many unethical illegal practices going on to obtain those RX. We are all afraid to set off RBM so we just agree with her and act happy and let her come at us. Pick and choose our battle. It's all fake it's bad. We also have to deal with her BS when she only recently started to book partial ride days with our team bc she got "spoken too " and was all in a huff. She was shooting off emails and texts and now has to attempt ride days which we all have talked she doesn't stay the whole day claims she can do a better job and then leaves. She openly tells us she sends emails and texts to appear busy along with holding weekly team calls (if she's not busy) and she just likes to hear herself talk. It's a blessing if you aren't looking we all are with the exception of the many newbies (in due time they will see) and then the people cheating to get to thr top. The problem is here and some of the couple reps drinking the "kool aide" .
The company is stil a mess but we have major issues here the west. I know CD director on the contract side for Amplity is amazing. Very smart well educated and nice man. Best of luck we are all trying to get out and don't know how the company will stay afloat. They also make promise to pay us and then keep making excuses and pushing out the date.

Good luck may we all get out and find something more rewarding and stable and not have to deal with the negative management who clearly doesn't care they can be fined and shut down for things they are doing.
 




Confirmed source new hire replacement
in low tax and low cost of living state was brought on board for $180k BASE! we are furious as a lot of us are senior level and the rep who left was senior level and would not even give her $130 k stopped at at $128k? Really couldn't budge on $2k for the rep , but $50k for the new rep who doesn't have any better experince. We have people all over the base pay scale some are in the $80s-90s low $100 and then closer to mid to upper $100s. The territory pulls 1-2 rx or 0 most weeks this is out of control on another level
