How would you rate Amedisys?

I have an interview for an AE position in midwest.

1) How are they considered by the industry as an HH employer?
2) How do salary / bonus compare to others?
3) Car allowance? or Car (I know, probably dreaming)

... anything else you can add is most appreciated.

I'm going in eyes open, realizing it's not pharma and not expecting it to be, but I am looking for a decent career.

Thanks!

1. Being looked at for fraud right now. A lot of turnover, over 26% last year alone for the company and in the 30s for Business Development (AEs/AMs)
2. Depends on experience really.
3. Car-Ford Focus or mileage.

Well, never been that---but just sayin'----great place to work. I have the best manager, work with the nicest people and yet I get to help people too. I love this job!!!

How long have you been on the job? Are you in an established agency? How long has the agency been in existence. what part of the country?

Fraud investigation is a broad brush that includes Gentiva et.al. based on a statistical increase in home visits (concern for Medicare overcharges). Any pharma (or other healthcare) is accustomed to investigations by the gov't but have nothing to worry about if not guilty.

Ford Focus? Even for their managers?

Anyone considering working for this company--do yourself a HUGE favor and don't unless you are clearly desperate! Under those cirmcumstances, be prepared to look at it as only temporary and keep looking. It won't be long before you will regret working here. It is SUCH a joke of a company. Never quite seen anything like it. Very poorly run.

These posters obviously havent read the Amedysis threads. Not only are they drinking the kool-aid, I am thinking it has been spiked. One thing they are really good at is brainwashing you into thinking this is the best company ever. This company is a joke.

piss poor at best...this company is a joke-press release says that 39 agencies are being affected by consolidations etc. bs-people are being left go. avp's are completely clueless-it is all about the bottom line...core values? are you f....kidding me??????

It is under investigation by the Justice Department, announced a stock buy back of $60 million, has $200 million in debt, $40 million coming due, poorly training AVP's, DOO's, staffing shortages, no budgets for marketing, Baton Rouge is out of touch and is nicknamed "A-Mess-It-Is.
