Ooops... I had a lot going on and forgot to send a follow up email after my interview. I was literally headed out of town the moment I walked out the door and realized a couple of days later and thought it was probably too late to send one at that point. If I was even someone they were considering in the first place, think that's a deal breaker?

There's alot of arguing back and forth here but take it from me I've been in sales for 22 years and I thought I had seen it all. WC's behavior is so unbelievable, I recently tried to explain to a recruiter why I left them and he thought I was full of crap!! I know the truth and they are a sad group who will very soon go down like a cheap whore!!! I was a top notch producer with P&G, it is sad to thinks that these morons from WC are what customers will now think of when they see the Actonel and Asacol brands. I feel especially bad for my former P&G colleagues who have stayed, as a whole P&G people are ethical, hard workers. I just thank god I never had to use any of the tactics that WC wanted sales reps to use. I have a thing called a.........................conscience. I make less today but I sleep like a baby. That's all I got to say bout that!!

Hi,
Yaz rep here..every year that I have been with Bayer...I've had to break in a new WC rep...and their immature behavior is inappropriate...each one of them...don't have this problem with any other company...so pushy...trying to interupt my lunches...moving samples etc...tacky...and the reputation goes with them!

If I wasn't kicking the WC reps butt in my territory...then there wouldn't be such turn over...would there?? And 5 years later, I still have a JOB!!! Making GREAT BONUS and BENEFITS!!!

First act like an intense type A crazy personality. That means a used car salesperson or door to door vacuum salesman who barges into your living room and won't take no for an answer. Tell them you do not follow rules and will always push the limits. This will get their attention.

Then tell them that you are willing and able to be away from home 3 nights every week to do "med eds". These are really thinly veiled bribes to get doctors, their wives, and any staff members who will tag along, out of the office for an expensive dinner. Follow up this dinner by using your budget to buy gift cards and thank them for their help. Don't worry about getting busted. No one checks on expenses as long as the numbers are good.

Make sure they know that after you put the hard sell on docs, you are willing to stick IMS data in their faces and demand to know why the f*ck they are lying to you about their prescribing habits in the words of motivating RD, MM. This is what they call the "business discussion" at WC. Better known as unethical at most companies and a violation of their contracts with IMS. Act like you already do this.

Prepare to get kicked around by your DM like a soccer ball. Yes a soccer ball. In the words of super motivating RD, Lenny, your DM should run behind and give you gentle kick in the rear after you've lost momentum. Once you get kicked enough you will either move the business forward or they will purchase another "soccer ball". Prepare to become a sweat shop employee.

Tell them you love a performance based culture. This means that you are motivated by greed. You want money, money, and more money! It also means you are motivated by keeping a job. You will always be in fear of losing your job here. One the physician level NRx numbers slow down you are toast. Yes, unreliable, small sample size, highly volatile individual doctor numbers.

Tell them that managed care is not a barrier and you can sell through anything. Tell them their soon to be useless "pay no more that $24 or $50 credit cards" are brilliant and you can't understand how anyone could not grow their business with these great tools.

Tell them you did not fit in big pharma because they are a bunce of idiots who only work in pods.

This should help you get your foot in the door.

This is how Pharma sales used to be until all of the pussies in pharma signd the pharma code. I am so glad WC has the balls to stay strong and be a real sales company. The sales rep for Jiffy Peanut butter does the same shit so why is pharma any different. If the drugs do not work, the Doc will not write them, but if they are all the same then the rep who has the best relationship wins. This company is the only one doing it right. Go to any other sales job and see what happens.

Im a former P&G er and I LOVE working for Warner Chilcott! I thought it would be terrible! I have a sweet super hot manager who is sooooo helpful! I am ROCKING my territory like I wished I could with P&G. This is no lie...just the truth. To all my fellow P&G er you guys totally missed the boat! Warner is THE SHIT!

Some one must be hard up to apply with WC. Plus, your resume and experience must suck to make it any other place. WC is the worst Company in Pharma. They treat people like crap. Highest turnover in the industry which says management has no clue on how to hire and retain great people!

YES, this place is the best. Best management in the industry. This is how a company should be run!!!

This company is scum and so are the reps that have stayed more than a year. You my friend are either the stupidest person on the face of the earth or have just got this job fresh off your past career at a used car lot, or as a credit collector or maybe it was Barking for the Yak women at the carnival. Nothing else could explain a crazy statement like yours.

Um- hello mcfly- WCRX just aquired 3 new drugs and just got FDA approval for a 4th- there wasn't previously a Primary Care Division, GI or urgo to support these products! They are increasing their sales force and growing- when you create new divisons from scratch there are going to be a lot of openings dumbasses.

You're an idiot. WCRX has ALWAYS had too many openings because they ALWAYS fire people. This has nothing to do with aquiring 3 new drugs and a 4th on the way. That is complete BS.

This company is a joke. They don't make a thing, they just use sleeze-ball/used car salesmen to push branded generics.

Above poster, you should seriously drink more kool-aid.

Why all the hate? WC is a company just like any other that is just trying to make it work. So, we have an aggressive business model- who cares? If you do not work here anymore then why do you hang on this board? Move on with your life. These are very difficult times for everyone so stop acting like you are the only one with any stress in their life. If you are lucky enough to have a job right now then reflect on how lucky you and your family are and get up tomorrow morning with the intention of doing your best. Your ranting and accusing is doing nothing but bringing yourself down- anyone who works at WC and truly wants to be here are for the most part happy for the opportunity. God speed to you too.

So working for a company that fires people that suck is a bad thing. I so sorry you are unemployed and have nothing to do but be negative with your life. Every pharma company is laying people off and WCRX is hiring. I'd go with the growing hiring company.

WCRX isn't growing. Do not be mislead into thinking they are a growing pharma company. They always have a ton of positions available because they are always firing. If you don't put up good numbers by 6-9 months, you're done.
