How many HCV reps are seriously trying to get out?

Is there really no hope here in the HCV franchise? I'm trying really hard to be positive and look for the things I can control. Last thing I want or need is pushy managers telling me half truths about what's really going on and what I need to do to fix it. I will not jeopardize my sanity nor my integrity to make Viekira Pak prescriptions appear out of nowhere! I'm going after what I can based on the label and asking for patient trials based on the label - that's it. We are under a CIA Abbvie - please listen up and do not make reps do things you know they shouldn't for short term gain. I play clean and fair and don't appreciate management spreading their panic stricken "win at all cost" mentality around me ...I don't play like that and neither should any of us. Because...this may not work out and we will have to find other jobs and we need our reputations to remain good and not pushy, desperate, and unethical! I'm giving it some time and then .... If things don't get better...will need to look elsewhere. Gilead is developing a NASH drug - heard that is the next big thing. Any other companies getting into the NASH drug biz? Any other companies hiring that have drugs that are truly unique and in demand with little to no competition? Thinking I should start researching and seeking out these companies now. Thoughts?

Ask any competitor and they will tell you that most of their candidates are from abbvie. It's probably 75% of the team that is looking. I don't know you obviously, but you really need to get out and start interviewing. Try to minimize that you worked on viekira. It's a career killer!

True story. They'll grill you for this career error. Be prepared for the VPak question.

I told my manager straight up I'm interviewing he said we're under a non-compete. Lmao, I told him he's full of shit. Dude would say anything he's so afraid of getting canned.

I am guessing it's not just Abbvie HCV reps that are looking around. Merck and BMS reps are likely getting antsy too. Have either of those even filed NDA yet?

Merck was just denied fast track by the FDA today because there is no need for another treatment similar to what is out now (us and Harvoni). So this puts their timeline for launch back to about mid 2016. BMS is likely to be in the same boat and their efficacy is about 7-8% less than ours (PI + NS5A + Non Nuc, 1 pill BID, 12 and 24 weeks).

I have never heard of a fast track drug getting denied. That might be a first, and to happen to Merck is kinda funny. Oh how the mighty have really fallen. As for BMS who knows whats going on there

How do we minimize our role in this launch? Believe me I'll be telling how managed care screwed this up but it's going to sound like I'm just making excuses? I'll take any advice to get me out of this whole.

So desperate are we at Abbvie... sell "off label" to get Rx's?! That's where we as reps need to draw the line. Your manager is an unethical ass if they are "suggesting" you do that.
