How is the new Biotronik US leadership doing?

I feel no impact from Biotronik's leadership! If you work for a distributorship you are so
far removed or I should say they are so far removed. Most of the directs feel the same way.
The Northwest group is a disaster! Who would have ever given them the deal they did. All of those ex BSX managers had minimal experience, were marginally successful and sold Tom and others a "bill of goods". Supporters of Bio/MD's using Bio in the Northwest is spotty and trace the $$ trail and there is always a connection! In other words do customers use Bio for
their great products and service or for consulting, studies, etc...?

Approximately 8 mil over two years for the Northwest team brought over by Tom Brown

"Approximately" depends on what your definition of "is" is. They have one "somewhat" productive rep out of the "four amigos" they brought over (Portland, OR). The rest are useless. So approximately $1M in sales the last 2 years "is" closer to reality.

The rest of the sales are being achieved by the Bio reps who were already there and are disgusted by this arrangement. Rest assured, they are all leaving when their contracts expire and these Boston Sci posers will not have any of their sales to hide behind.

8 mil is the cost in guarantees paid out over two years for the group that was hired over, not sales.

My bad. You are on the mark for the guarantees. A net loss of $7M goes right to the bottom line. And profit, from what I understand, is shrinking at an alarming rate these days at Biotronik USA.

More of these deals consummated over the last year (Dan S. and Mike I. cronies and losers) will also prove to be just as unprofitable. The Germans will force austerity measures on the US management team as this net loss is realized over the next several months.

Get ready for hiring freezes and compensation adjustments..., Oh and terminations.

Really? Why all the hatred and disgust for Mike Iverson. Is he actually that bad. I knew him when he was at Bos Sci, and didn't find him that difficult. He is not a salesman that's for sure, and he was not hired at Bio to be an executive, and I don't think he was trying to be one, so whats the big deal. Why would he hang with Dan S. Mike isn't responsible for any of the suicidal decisions now being made inside of your company. I don't believe he is deserving of your criticism. In my experience I have not seen him act like a jerk. He does not have a strong personality like alot of others in positions like his. He does command alot of respect in a room, but he is not asking for it. Maybe he is not the answer when in front of clients, but in marketing he is alright. Let him be

Why all the hatred and disgust for Mike Iverson. - No hatred. No digust.

He is not a salesman that's for sure, and he was not hired at Bio to be an executive, and I don't think he was trying to be one - Then why is he now the AVP over there? He is thee executive for the West Coast. Thee man to get in front of the movers and shakers.

Why would he hang with Dan S. Mike isn't responsible for any of the suicidal decisions now being made inside of your company. No he absolutely isn't.

I don't believe he is deserving of your criticism. It isn't criticism, it is just an opinion. He is a nice guy but NOT the guy to be in that position.

In my experience I have not seen him act like a jerk. He does not have a strong personality like alot of others in positions like his. He does command alot of respect in a room, but he is not asking for it. Maybe he is not the answer when in front of clients, but in marketing he is alright. Let him be - I agree, marketing but AVP of Sales for the West Coast?

You stupid bitch! You need to have a better insider source. Mike I's finger prints are all over the NW mess. It was Mike and Tom B. The company promoted him to watch him fail and then kick his ass to the curb. This is how they get rid of people.

Wow. Things are really getting personal here! Mike I, Dan S. and their associated cronies from Medtronic and Boston are not evil people. With the exception of CF and PE, they simply don't have the skill set to be successful at Biotronik.

At a smaller organization like Bio, a sales manager has to wear many hats and be capable across many disciplines. So in the case of an AVP or even the Executive VP of sales, they will actually have to SELL in addition to their management duties. They will have to become more intimately involved at the ground level to know what is ACTUALLY happening. They cannot manage from an Ivory Tower.

As far as the sales people these guys brought over, very few if any of them are equipped to make or create sales because they never had to do that at their former companies. They are incredibly good at maintaining existing sales and dutifully maintained their customer's loyalty to Medtronic and Boston. And THAT will be their undoing at Biotronik.

If Biotronik doesn't change course soon, these individuals will be its Trojan Horse and our competitors will have destroyed us from within.

The NW is a bust overall with few bright spots. GG and crew has moved some business in Oregon but N. CA, WA and MT are a disaster. Yet we keep throwing money at it by continuing to hire BSC castoffs (just hired another in WA).

Most of the NW team's guarantees expire in April. We'll see who makes it then.

Same thing happening in the Eastern US with Medtronic cast-offs.
