How is Gilenya doing?

Your competition are not the other MS drugs.........i

ts CCSVI and venoplasty.

Read the studies.

19,000 patients to date and counting.

Neurologists starting to take notice of the patient improvements.

see "CCSVI before and after " on YouTube

If you want to make $$$$ have your company a drug that safely decreases the Endothelin1 level in pwMS/CCSVI

Endothelin1 is found in very hig levels in these patients. Also they will need drugs that enhance endothelium healing and remyelinization.

Please, enough about CCSVI. I completely emphasize with people with MS but this procedure is dangerous, produces inconsistent results, and may need to be re-done due to re-narrowing! CCSVI is NOT the answer, most MS specialists do not support the science behind this. Do research on both the pros and cons of surgery.

Let's be honest here. Analyst's expected between a 15-20% Trx market share by the end of 2011. In my territory, it is less than 1%. This is not nearly what was expected. At 6 months with 400,000 US M.S patients (naive and on therapy), common thought would have been AT LEAST 20,000 would be on (5%). The best case scenario claim is 10,000, of which we all know far less are actually on or paying for the drug. An oral MS drug has been the talk for a decade, so it is nearly unbelievable how slowly this drug has launched.

SOME GOOD POINTS. I DON'T THINK IT IS AS BLEAK AS "UNBELIEVABLY BAD". I DO WORRY THAT WE BRAG THAT WE HAVE GOTTEN 10,000 PATIENTS, OR 2,000 A MONTH (OBVIOUSLY THIS IS A SLIGHT EXAGGERATION , HA-HA). I DO KNOW WALL STREET EXPECTED A HIGH MARKET SHARE, AND AT THIS RATE AT THE END OF THIS YEAR WE WOULD HAVE LESS THAN 30,000 PATIENTS ON DRUG. THAT IS IF WE CAN MAINTAIN THE MOMENTUM OF THE LAUNCH AND THE PATIENTS THAT HAD BEEN WAITING. THIS WOULD STILL PUT US AT LESS THAN 10% OF THE MARKET, AND NEXT YEAR THERE ARE GOING TO BE NEW DRUGS. THIS DRUG IS A GOOD ONE, AND NEEDED, BUT NOT NEARLY WHAT WAS EXPECTED.

I am hearing rumblings of people interviewing already. Not what was expected by the new hires. I feel sorry for the bottom territories looking at the IC3 compensation. 500% growth for a low performing territory. Seems they want people to leave by making goals unattainable.

500% growth are they insane. I think many people will leave by the end of the year.

Difference is your med is as effective as Avonex. My drug eliminates ms. Ill see you on the unemployment line in a few years.

Effective as Avonex? Did you read the transforms study I guess not. If Tysabri was doing so well you would be out in the field selling. Instead your trolling the Novartis board what a loser.

Look at any MS patient support website & you will see where the cure (gilenya) is worse than the disease.
Patients are suffering with this crappy drug licensed from Mitsubishi.
Then again patients haven't been the focus of this company for a long time.

What else do you expect from a company trying to rename & repackage the worse Cox 2 inhibitor ever invented.

So this drug Gilenya causes lymphocytes in the peripheral nerves to decrease by up to 60-70% at 2 months or steady state.......what makes you think that patients will not have MAJOR ISSUES AFTER THEY HAVE LOWERED THEIR IMMUNE SYSTEMS? That is one scary situation. One does not know do they?????? We need someone to come up with a better oral....GO TEVA....

Why do you numbskulls keep saying the work "cure". There is no cure - only treatment. The treatment options have dangers. Period - end of story. The only options MS patients have are to pick their poision and try to do the least harm to their overall health while trying to keep MS at bay.

All of you reps have little to no clue how MS patients feel - you really should go to MS patient support sites and really read what patients endure.

Welcome to Novartis people! This is the way we do things, goals that are so unrealistic that you can't make bonus! Sometimes it is better to work for a company that has an ok product, but realistic goals. After all, this is a job, nothing more...Why not work for a company where you can make bonus money and obtain compensation for our hard work! 500% increase to meet your target bonus makes you feel like working real hard doesn't it???
