How do you get on Cardiology/Critical Care Division Gravy Train?

This is one message on this board that everyone should believe. That is John H and Curt H on the golf course congratulating themselves for gaining control of Conmed and plotting to see how many people they can lay off this year in the cardiology division in order to keep the earnings number respectable even if it's shy of expectations. As far as getting rich at Conmed it's not coming from any sales achievement bonus from John Hart. His bonus is based solely on being buddies with Curt. For Curt, his getting rich isn't coming from any over all bonus achievement from growth. Unless his bonus is based on rising corp debt astronomically. If that's his measurement then he's has had major achievement at Conmed.

People who read these threads and never respond already know that CEO's are a little sociopathic. They don't mind stepping on other people to make more money. That's how business CAN work. An honest living would be to tell the customer to buy from someone else because this company doesn't make top notch quality product. They rush R&D, too many design flaws, too much pressure on production to make numbers so the bosses get their bonus checks.

If I owned the company, I wouldn't try to fix it and make the product better. I'd make as much money as possible and leave this mess for the next money hungry person.

There's millions to be made. Retire much younger than 65. Doesn't that sound nice? I would say right now the division is on very shaky grounds due to the new compensation plan, losing the Vizient contract, and high quotas. I have already witnessed more than four reps leaving the division, and after talking to a number of my colleagues at the meeting I anticipate a large number more. The division is in deep trouble and I think it's time for me to get out too.

Curt and John Hart have run this division into the ground. No vision, no plan, no understanding of how to win in this market, no interest in building a team. We're all extremely unmotivated after the one time a year a rep should be extra fired up to conquer the world.
It must be embarrassing for Curt and John to have such a dog of a division under their care. Why any investor would trust them with their money is beyond me.

Curt's been trying to sell it for 4 years and the best offer he got was that Conmed would have to pay the buyer $20 million to take it. Curt hates this business so much he almost took that deal. So you don't have to worry about this business being sold, but you do have to worry about being cut so that the bottom line is maintained while sales continue to slide. So quit your whining and get out because no one cares, and if they do care it's because their happy you improved the bottom line by leaving. Who started this ludicrous thread anyways? The general consensus is that it was some guy who ran the sales force a couple years ago who got fired and he wants the AD's who reported to him to get fired. There must be only 4 or 5 people in the world who care about what going on in this business. So get out and joiun a real medical device business and write about it on cafepharma.

The only positive thing to come out of the NSM is I don't have to deal with Nadia as my manager anymore, even though I would only see her once a year, she would inundate us with meaningless reports just to cover her own ass. I hope they find someone out West that will be a leader, and not try to manage by intimidation.

Bring back Rick H, he will bring this Division back to the Promised Land if non “me too” products.

Nadia is not all to blame, if any of you where at the NSM you would understand the culture of this division is all out of whack! One thing that I noticed is that if you are one of John Hart’s favorites you have it made, but if not, he will not give you the time of day. I never have seen such a self-centered person in my life, the guy only talks about himself and his family, and doesn’t give a shit about anyone else, unless you are Mike R., I think John has a love crush on him.
 






Can someone tell me how to get on John Hart's C-CC team? They are not on a commission only plan, get paid base salaries plus commission guarantee's, car allowances, all travel expenses, and it's all High Commodity products that any dingbat can sell. Their best position is their Regional Sales Managers who are not held accountable for anything. They fake working in the field and some of them have not made their regional numbers in YEARS (D.S.) and still with the company? Hey Curt what's all that Bullshit you preach about making your numbers or don't plan on being around. The reps/managers they do like and have lost business they will compensate and the ones they don't like that lost business they put on a pip. I guess accountability doesn't include X-Stryker cronies like Hart and this division.
 






I’m struggling in this division, products suck, no new contracts insight, no direct, and the leadership doesn’t care at all about us, they only care about finding away to hit our ridiculous quota.

Frank is the backbone of our division, the guy works his ass off and handles pretty much ever issue ( comp plan, product issues, marketing issues, contract negotiations, and us) out there. We as salespeople aren’t really sure what John Hart even does, other than make ridiculous quotas and try to expand a sales force that hasn’t had any new products in years, on top of that we are going to get killed on this Vizient contract. John, you need to stop being such an egomaniac and be realistic about what is going on, or this division will be nonexistent. I’m just trying to help you out John, but as we all know your ego will get in the way and you will ruin this division.

The damage is done. Hartman & Hart sent the division on a downward spiral the day they laid hands on it. Freaking embarrassing it must be for them.
