my condolences to you, it seems like the joy/misery of this job is very manager dependant. I will say my manager is awesome and does a great job filtering out the BS for us. If my manager ever moved on I'd probably be in the same boat.managers text reps at 3am. Is that big pharma enough?

Texts at 3am are just insane...
I agree. I came over from Baxalta. you?
Leave - we don't want your kind here.Yes, I have. I've also worked for small pharma and biotech. This is the worst.
Kobe troll alert!!!! Booring, zzzzzz........ Only reply they know because they are otherwise a clueless moron (which is a pre-requisite to get hired by KK)Leave - we don't want your kind here.
Michael Pearson, former Valeant CEO, was of McKinsey creed. Look how that ended. Look at the mess he created!McKinsey Group is running the entire Shire management structure. At every Town Hall Presentation several upper management people mention all the meetings they are having with McKinsey. Why do you think upper management has all those 'off site' meeting? It's so no one can see all the McKinsey people in the meetings.
McKinsey advise is always slash, burn, and double the work load.
McKinsey is great at coming into a company and interviewing everyone and their brother to solicit input, ideas and to learn the historical perspective. They then collect all of this info and spit it back to management as their own novel ideas. If the asswipes who run Shire would sit and talk with their people and listen to feedback, they would accomplish the same and at a 100% discount too!Michael Pearson, former Valeant CEO, was of McKinsey creed. The 3am texter is old Shire. She's been around forever.
Okay, that's not a company thing. That's a rude person thing. Have some balls and tell the 3am texted to stop. If they are up doing paperwork at that time it's fine, but not okay to wake others. Use company email. If you let it continue, it's your fault.managers text reps at 3am. Is that big pharma enough?

Some perspective is needed here. PS and KK are hand-picked by the CEO. They reflect his attitude and philosophy, so complaining is useless. The CP boards speak for themselves, but you need to leave, as there will never be change. Wait and see how many Baxalta top talent decide to stay vs leave.
Call frequency is a piss poor measure for anythingHere it comes. Shire is starting to push their antiquated call frequency model onto Baxalta. Leadership is apparently caving in order to be seen as good soldiers to Perry.
How about you just turn off your phone when you go to bed?...Okay, that's not a company thing. That's a rude person thing. Have some balls and tell the 3am texted to stop. Not in the OBU. It's big pharma all the way...annoying trackers, calendars, etc. 8 calls/day plus pharmacy calls. It's ridiculous!Overall, the company is run like an innovative biotech - - - very little Big Pharma BS.
