Teflaro is going to go down as the biggest colossal failure in Antibiotic history. It will be in all the business school textbooks on how NOT to launch an antibiotic. What a colossal mess.

Not completely true. If Teflaro is only thought of as a reserved agent, then why have we been targeting the ED for empiric use? I have Teflaro in an unrestricted status in a few accounts where the bulk of my business does come from ED Physicians, not ID. I love the market research they supposedly did. Such bullshit!

That's not my experience either. Teflaro is reserved on most of my accounts.
 






























they did not fly all the IS1 DM's out to NJ last week and make all the DM's do meetings with their teams this week because this is a little issue.

It is a big deal to our customers and goes contrary to everything we have been saying since day one! Empiric, cheap! blah blah blah.

Why doesn't marketing and corporate just buck up and say they royally screwed up the launch of this drug and now they are doubling the price to meet sales objectives.

When we launched Teflaro how many people were driven out?? accountability!

Where is the accountability on the corporate and marketing side?

Just a total joke of a company and all our customers know it. A true embarrassment.

But let's role play all day at the meeting to learn how to address this objection!! that's the solution! Oh and by the way, you can make lots of money in bonus!! woo hoo!

And BTW, why does marketing have to do "market research"? Just ask your god-damn reps what the customer is saying!! We would tell you the honest to god truth except you don't want to hear it. And as history has shown, they like to shoot the messenger.
 






The above post is spot on. This place is such a mess and has been for almost 4 years. Cristina, Helen and all the people running this shit show should be canned. And April!?!? What value does she bring?! And Shannon?! Such a joke. Any other company, they would be gone. The good news is that the industry is small, and based on their reputations, they will never be hired elsewhere once Pfizer steps in.
 






Spot f-ing on! Seriously this is beyond embarrassing that we actually work for a company that thinks we have the intellectual capacity of a third grader. They can spin this shitstorm any way they want. We are going to play their role play games at these emergency meetings this week, and then go into our accounts and do this our way--- which is to blame the company of course.

How can we possibly have the balls to double our price without bacteremia??? We haven't even filed for it yet? This was supposed to happen in June. How can changing to a five minute infusion justify the price? Maybe for OPAT which we aren't getting credit for anyway. I'm going to tell my customers the truth. That marketing didn't make their numbers so they've decided to throw away all promotions of the past 4 years. Empiric use vs vanco and go after dapto that has about 3,000 more indications that we do. They want us to say we are still 30% less than dapto. Guess what my customers will say? That we WERE 65% less! They won't care now if docs convert.

C. Larkin, A. Amory, the entire brand team and any manager buying this bunk and regurgitating it back to your reps.... You can all go suck it!!!

As for me, I made an emergency call to my recruiter this morning. I suggest everyone else do the same.

Yeah, you're probably just stirring the pot, but you strike an important point you don't even know you did. those people that stuck their neck out and told the truth were called "not team players" and people who "can't get on board." Think of the millions lost from this great brand because of the arrogance and small mindedness of those on the top.
