Its big pharma mentality. The Man running commercial is a Merck marketer and his sales VP is a lifelong Merck sales person......stay away

Stay away. It is a depressing culture, and most are unhappy..
the metrics and goals are unrealistic. Most reps won’t be hitting goal.
recruiter told me the position was on hold at the moment. What is really going on with the company? I’m hesitant to pursue this.

used to be a pharmacist on the east coast somewhere. took job here as ram and moved to chi. was ranked bottom in the nation. got promoted to manager during the last restructure in july. got promoted again to director after 6 months. think he's lost 4 people since taking over and more leaving soon.
Most of the “leaders” are pharmacists with zero prior leadership or Pharma experience. This is the absolute worst company to work for.
The people making hiring decisions sound questionable and corrupt.
I’ve heard that the only way to get promoted and ahead is not by merit but how much you’re liked and if you’re part of the “inner”
circle? The person recently promoted has been on bottom of the performance rankings , has no previous vaccine experience, has been with the company less than a year?
The VS leaders are forcing the reps to speak off-label to get sales. Getting kicked out of an office is considered a success. They force us to introduce ourselves as CDC employees. I am embarrassed to walk into an office with my manager. She is so rude and arrogant towards the staff and in reality she has never been successful at selling anything. I have been here for a long time and she got promoted because she could not sell a thing but her boss from gsk brought her over and they had to keep her. This company will get in legal trouble soon. I heard a lawsuit is in discussion with several reps from different parts of the country.

Proof that rubbing elbows and being in the inner circle is all that matters -
Make account managers to VS to make them
Feel demoted then pay them less promote new hire and people with no track record so they feel like it’s a dead end road raise they goals so it’s unattainable - until you feel hopeless frustrated suffocated by the toxic culture then you leave that’s what they want an endless hamster wheel
