Hiring freeze

You work for Valeant and you are surprised? It is happening because you work for Valeant. Valeant exists to make money for the stock holders. If you wanted a job with long term security you should have started to look for a job as soon as you were acquired by Valeant.

Your fault if you waited too long. When the life boats started loading on the Titanic you should have jumped in. Now the orchestra is playing and the you are faced with the long jump into the North Atlantic.

Good Luck

Hiring freeze in Pharma for obvious reasons: 1) Vacancies are viewed as profit in the Valeant culture. 2) No respect for employees, customers, or patients. Only shareholders. 3) Lotemax generic will hit in Q3 so expect a major reorg and downsizing by year end. Hiring freeze helps thin the numbers.

I call BS on this. No hiring freeze - quite the opposite - in pharma, lots of people keep leaving so the revolving door keeps turning. They need to still hire in order to have full territories and realize the complete money making potential.

A friend of mine interviewed for a vacancy two weeks ago. They was sent an email by the hiring manager about a hiring freeze taking place. My gut says this has a huge stink on it.

There is no hiring freeze people. Why do you have to post this shit? Have you not seen all the emails announcing new hires? Oh, i guess those were all made up. A new rep was just hired (offer extended) in my district, so obviously no freeze.

Go to work. Find some hobbies. Volunteer. Excercise.

Stop the fear mongering. Its wrong.

Hiring blue team members. Just filled a vacancy last week. No freeze.

I believe "hiring freeze" is a somewhat polite way of saying" no thank you"
I know, your friend was more than qualified, etc., there are many reasons why a manager doesn't see a fit and moves on. There are plenty of candidates these days so they can selective
