Companies die when they become hyper focused and water logged with bureaucracy, redundancy and process. The pharmaceutical industry is a shining example of this and BI may be its poster child. I mean, what other successful industry maintains an army of micromanaging babysitters who’s only purpose appears to be pissing off the last remaining customers who will actually allow access. Great business model! Does the UPS driver have their 6 figure manager riding around endlessly with them delivering packages and making sure all the parcels are properly signed for? No, a 5 year old could see how stupid that would be, even the post office, with the heavy hand of government bureaucracy managing them isn’t that dumb. Once a great career, this industry, through decades of empty-suited leadership, has become a farce, yet people continue to get paid a king’s ransom to act and play make- believe in a role that bears little resemblance to reality. At some point you would think this idiocy has to end, frankly I’m surprised it has lasted this long
