Post 14 is specfically writing about sales and marketing. You say that you did not work in sales and marketing. Then you say post 14 is "spot on" with respect to his comments . How can you claim that he was "spot on" about sales and marketing when you admit that you did not even work in that function?

You say that you left "long before the layoffs". The layoffs began in August 2011. You left long before that date which means you left the company at least 18 months ago. Since that time nearly completely new senior management has come to the company. How can you comment about the environment at the company when you have not worked their for over a year and a half? The new management team (unlike the prior team) is highly experienced in running a commercial enterprise. On the commercial side, things have much improved over the past 2 years. The new management team knows what it is doing. The science side of the business has always been strong.

I currently work at the company. It is a good place to work and I know of very many people that are very happy to have positions at the company. Every company
has a few employees that are not satisfied and the very many happy employees are glad you left. This company is about getting the job done.

Like I said you obviously do work at Dendreon, because what you describe is not the place I work at. I have been closely watching the new sales strategies and new sales management put in place. The whole company is a better organized and more efficient place to work. I now have a whole team of people in my territory to assist me in closing a sale and expanding sales within an MD practice. The MD education process has much improved. The patient identification process has much improved. The sales materials have much improved. The blood draw network has much improved. The MD reimbursement process has much improved. The market research has much improveed. The precert process has much improved. The new management and other new hires are really helping the whole company really run smoother. I feel that senior management is doing all they possibly can to help me succeed. Because of this sales in my territory are really taking off.

They compensate well and treat people well. Other people (and this is many people) I speak with for the very most part like working here. This is the best drug company I have ever worked for in my 21 year carreer.
You do not work here. Reps don't use terms such as "blood draw network" or precert process. I call you FOS and a plant that is sent here to respond to anything negative.

Well it makes sense when the hiring rd has no experience. Here's the deal- it doesn't matter that you are smart, work very hard and are attractive. It doesn't mean you are qualified for your job. I actually feel bad for her. Lots of good qualities but her inexperience far outweighs in a job like this. Also no matter how many times you say culture needs to change when you don't lead by example it ain't gunna change. Dude you got to stop the boss love youve got going on. Everybody knows and sees it. No one respects that shit.

Typical Big Pharma model (just like big government)
Promote your buddies whether or not they have the skills and give them the power to fire or harass anyone who doesn't comply

Don't know EM but she has the same initials as this childhood star. Same future?

"Former "Happy Days" star Erin Moran has had a rough year.

The actress, who shot to stardom as Joanie Cunningham, was kicked out of the trailer park where she lived in September, and has now become a recluse holed up in an Indiana hotel room."
