Anyone know anything about this company?

The best thing about this company is they have Hospice and Long Term Care facilities that help them be diversified. They are fairly large and they have a good name some places and not as good other places based on leadership. That is the basic knowledge that I have.

They don't "have" hospice, they "provide" hospice care to patients at home, in hospitals (contract beds) & for residents in nursing homes. Reps call on case managers and social workers. A good company (no, I don't work for them) some pharma reps are moving over from pharma to working as reps for hospice companies.

You are wrong if you want to be SO specific. Yes they DO "HAVE" Hospice care available as one of their services!

Geesshhh, lighten up.

A "real" salesperson would not work for a hospice company unless they were desperate. We are too hungry for the sale, and hospice is too emotional of a sale for any type A, true over-acheiver. I worked for a hospice company for two days. The four other reps were losers, and clearly could never get a job anywhere else. One was fired from a DME, the other was a job hopper that sounded like Roseanne (and looked like her, too), the other had an incontinence problem and didn't know where she was half the time (claimed it was menapause), and the other was an undeducated boob who everyone felt sorry for because she popped out two babies at a young age and her husband cheated on her. Got the picture of what kind of people sell hospice? LOSERS!

menopause, honey, menopause.
learn to spell; it adds a load of credibility to your assertion!

i agree that anyone working for a hospice (or a home health care) company is either desperate or a saint.
i tried it for 5 weeks, and was sooo depressed qpm b/c of the clientele with whom i was interacting; incontinent people who lied to get into assisted/independent living facilities
(less expensive than nursing home facilities) and a plethora of other 'seniors' who found themselves at the end of their financial/physical/independence rope.

I am sorry that a hospice rep is not worthy in your eyes...we have a hard job, while you just prance around and dish out samples all day- the doctors are interested in the information that we have, and god forbid you ever need hospice...I sure hope that the doc is educated enough to not let you die in pain!

Well Said!

I worked in pharma and lost my job due to a downsize. I am now a sales rep for a hospice company. From my own point of view: I hated every minute of pharma from the first day and I love hospice. I feel like in hospice doctors and staff are more open to speak with me for one. I also make alot more in base and I have the potential to bonus a hell of alot more as well. Although you might not have some of the perks of pharma, its less travel and I my self think it has better job satisfaction. I have had many opportunities to get back to pharma but chosen to decline because I am affraid of what is going to happen to the industry as a whole. I do know alot of pharma reps are moving into hospice and home health and are really enjoying it. just my point of view.

You are spell checking. Maybe you should check your grammar.

Whatever..I am just saying that real salespeople don't take hospice sales jobs. You have to be in hospice for a different reason besides the love of the hunt, or money. Beware downsized pharma or device reps--you will be miseable. By the way, I am a dude, so the "menopause honey" comment proves my point. Dont be so overly hormonal.

Let me get this right....is this a pharma rep lecturing on what it takes to be a "REAL" sales rep? How would he know?

NO SHit. Pharma Reps do NOT SELL. They simply drop off samples. Wait in a lobby for the doctor to maybe come out so he can like his balls and drop off lit and sample and ask the doctor to sign off on his list so he can then take his tongue out of the doctors ass and leave the office to go have a CC with thier manager only to put thier tongue up the managers ass. All PHARMA REPS SUCK fumunda cheese and Sweaty BallS! Get a real fuckin job fuck face dicklickers!
