Hate this job....love the money.

I got set up as an Uber driver in ‘20 with al the covid crap, and since I only work 1/2 day max Mon-Thurs — Fridays are all mine, and Mondays are really office/admin stupid sh!t since that’s all CBDs/DMs care about anyway — and now I pull down an extra $45-$50k driving my little beater car and I’m still done by 5. Trust me, you can do both. Just make sure you have cool counterparts. The good news is most of them are pretty lazy.
Forgot to mention, the best part about the Uber gig is if you get a call, you can just run by or meet because you’re out anyway. Stay in your work close and keep a few things in the beater car…works great.

BULLSHIT POST. First of all no uber driver makes that kind of money only working until five PM.. Second, Uber requires a late model care no beat up wreck. Third...nobody who is working a second job while an AZ rep would tell counterparts. If you are going to make up a story make up a good one not this crapola.

Me too. I have worked for several different companies over about 25 years, due to layoffs or something. I have loved some companies, and some people at some companies, and it’s great when it’s both. But I really hate some people I work with at AZ. Some of the stupidest and laziest people in the industry are here! Pays well and I’m good so I’m getting that direct deposit that I love love love and my stupid lazy pod mate is riding high. If you are lucky, OP, you have a solid pod mate carrying your lazy ass.

I've only been with AZ for about a year. When I started I thought I was the luckiest guy in the world landing this gig. Now I hate this job....the micromanagement, the silly metrics, conference calls, feeding the cows, lack of respect from docs...it goes on and on. Instead of quitting to find new employment I love the money and benefits I made here. I'm 25 years old and I sold out. I hate myself for it but don't have the balls to do anything about it. Here it is Monday and almost 11:30AM and I am still at home. I hate the thought of this job. OK, I know I will get a lot of negative posts and be laughed at. Anybody got some advice I can use to clean up my worthless life?

best way to make this work somewhat well is to find a counterpart or 2 to have some side fun with. Typically those younger married reps are good for a roll on the hay. They like the attention they get from a young stud like yourself. Also makes this boring lunches moderately tolerable. Same for the regional and National sales meetings. Always nice to have a side piece to keep things moist.

Downsize.

Stop being a consumer like you were trained to do as a child.

Stop seeking validation from others, especially the opposite sex if you are a man.

Lastly, pay attention to your heart, and your stress levels. Your mind and body will give you hints on what direction you need to go. Pay attention to the stress levels and manage that appropriately.

Last things you should understand is that the economy and money are fake. That is hard for many to understand but it is true. If you can grasp that, you are headed in the right direction. Take care of your shelter, food, and well-being, but to make money your number one priority is about the dumbest thing you can do in life.

You're miserable hate your work. Get out. No job is worth it. Next your health will suffer. In the long run you will be much happier. It won't be easy but will be worth it. You spend five years in pharma you won't be able to get out as no one will hire you.

Not true.

ANYONE will hire you if the price is correct for THEM.

There are always ways to make money if you use your creativity.

Are you kidding? He is a worthless slug because 90% of workers in America would kill to make six figures while driving around in a car that someone gives them with free gasoline and an opportunity to make nice bonus money every three months on top of it. He chooses to sit on his ass and feel sorry for himself because pharma is so hard and miserable and doctors offices don't make him feel comfy and welcome on every call? Are you kidding me? Life is what we make of it and if he thinks this sucks that is fine but man...it is a sad state of affairs when a young person doesn't see this opportunity as anything but awesome. Go sell cars 80 hours a week with no vacation and make 40 grand a year for a while if you think this sucks.

Car salesman do work long hours, but it is common for them to make over 100K, for a low stress job that it is.

Truer words have not been spoken. Stress kills. Working for a person that only induces stress kills quicker.

Hello McFly: We, all make choices in life. So, in the interview, process, you said that you would do the best that you could, and the boss liked that, so you Lied.
All jobs, have their good and bad aspects. When, I started with AZ in 1995, I said I'm going to try to get more Rx's per week, on the products I was selling. Well, having a goal was good, as most people don't.
So, if you don't like your job, then maybe it's you....YA THINK!
