The trial ended July 18. The case is pending a decision by the U.S. District Court in Wyoming.
When do you think the decision will be made? Thank you.

I have not been updated personally. I lucked out leaving at the right time.... But the company I have been working for is in trouble with the OIG... Also may be sold or a hostile takeover, possibly by Amgen. I am looking into lab sales now. Both Solvay and my present company were great to work for while it lasted! Good luck to my friends at Solvay, I still miss you.
just heard today it is in the judges hands now. But it sounds like solvay failed to explain the magnitude of how this affected older employees. Does not sound good for solvay as they were caught in outright lies. It serves them right they nor any other company should be allowed to screw there employees like this.
what are you saying? you did not file? they have names and that Abbott is paying the people who deserve to get money?

What I said is quite clear. Where does it say anything about Abbott paying the people who deserve to get money?
I said that I did not file.
I said that the reason I did not file is that I did not want my name published on the list of people who were joining the law suit.
I said the reason I did not want my name on the list of people joining the suit is because the law firm in charge told me the list could be viewed by anyone at Solvay - including DMs, regionals, etc.
I said that even though I know that retaliation for joining the suit is technically illegal, I was worried that management might still find a way to retaliate if they saw my name included.
Is that easier for you?
I signed up and have heard nothing to this point.
Just to let you know -- I left Solvay in 2004 after 15 years -- this was 3 months prior to the decision to cut the pensions for anyone 50 years old or younger- I was in my mid 40s. Just found out that I will be receiving $1500 a month for the rest of my life starting in January so the pension is still being paid if that helps with the lawsuit?? I guess I was lucky to have left in time. I miss my Solvay friends but life is good on the outside!!. I wish you all good luck with this lawsuit as it really sucks that they did this -- instead of age it should have been calculated by years of service.
Why the paranoia?
If you are not with the company any longer why would you even wonder?
Thousands join these class actions all the time.
Again, your reading skills seem a bit sloppy. I never said I wasn't with the company, in fact I am still with the company. Of course I wouldn't have been "paranoid" about the issues I mentioned, such as covert retaliation, if I were no longer with the company.
