Has anyone at GSK actually died due to Covid?

Seriously does anyone who works at GSK know of any GSK employees whose death in the last 18 months was attributed to Covid infection?

NO NAMES please, just BU or Dept. and maybe their role.

We are enacting a vaccine mandate to keep us safe, so their must have been a number of deaths in an organization of this size. Stands to reason to right?

Hey Igor. In English there are two forms of words occasionally. There and their are two of those and most English speaking people understand where and how they are used in grade school. Obviously not you.

I work in global VBU and a colleague’s uncle passed. I also had a colleague who was in the hospital for a few weeks.

so your answer is “no”, you don’t know of any GSK employee who has died from a Covid infection.

Anyone? Surely in a company of this size over the course of 18 months there must be half a dozen or more in the US right? I mean the deaths attributed to Covid out of the entire US population represents about 0.2% of the population. If GSK has 3000 U.S. based employees, then that would be 6 people right.
Surely someone has heard of or knows of these deaths and can tell us what BU or department they worked in. Maybe Maya knows. Maybe she should be asked.

So glad I don’t work with you morons anymore. 700k+ deaths in the US and millions worldwide due to the infection, 6 BILLION+ shots administered and you bring up one person that had a stroke a couple weeks after their shot?!!!!!! Absolutely hilarious. I’ve lost many people close to me from the virus, 44year old, 53 year old, 58 year old etc etc etc. I have friends that are still suffering after having the virus last year. Keep brainwashing yourself by looking at the internet. Also, you do realize that it only takes one ridiculous comment for your friends and family to change their perception of you forever? “ I used to think he/she was an intelligent human being but guess I was wrong”.

if you don’t work for GSK why come to this page? Who’s the real moron?

Must be the misery that draws me back. I read a few threads and then feel bad for some old friends who are still stuck there. Let me guess, you never click on another company’s thread? Ok
I think it’s called schadenfreude. I too come back here occasionally to see what’s happening and nothing seems to change. My first years with GSK were great but the last 5 were total misery. Some very decent people in this company but they were outweighed by others.

This was a good point before the thread went to troll.

None of The Deciders have been open\honest\transparent about this. The same boilerplate about "keeping our workforce safe" etc. And to be honest, I think they are serious when they say that. They'd feel awful if someone got sick and died before they could be laid off.
