So all you chumps from Otsuka and Sunovion got what you deserved. That's what happens when you go to a third rate pharma company that submits a single (as in ONE) study to get an injectable product approved. Oh the lies you were sold!

Don't think you're going to get a big pharma serverance like you would of if you were still at Sunovion or Otsuka. When news spreads of the crappy two weeks pay you are getting after being flushed down the toilet that will make sure no on of quality ever even thinks about going over to Alkermes.

How you were all lied to is almost as bad as how you were stupid enough to believe the lies.

If only the idiots in management at Alkermes had brains enough to price this drug 25% to 30% lower than Maintena, we would have taken the market over night! But, apparently, it's not going to be less expensive. Amazing!

I have read the comments from the FDA twice and never read where they mention a denial. Nice attempt though. Enjoy your time at Sunovion or Otsuka. And yes, it's obvious you have bad feelings for Alkermes due to the fact that "you" wanted to be here but did not make the cut. Hope that helps.

So you fall into one of two categories:
1) You don't have the balls to take a risk but have the balls on an anonymous blog to put down those that do.
Or
2) Alkermes didn't want to take a risk on you (more likely)!!!

Be honest, if you were happy you wouldn't be so concerned about what was happening with the risk takers.

True that it was a delay and not a denial. The problem is a delay will take months NOT weeks. Look at the FDA website. I can't see any delays that were less than 3.5 months and many were like 6 to 8 months. Do you think they will keep us all that long or do you think they will chop some of us until they get final approval. This is not cool. Not cool at all.

Geeze man. Take a chill pill and hold off on the taking pleasure in other people's misfortune. Many of us who came here knew it was a big risk. They gave us stock and a chance to be part of building something from the ground floor. I don't necessarily think it is a fatal event, but it is a major set back.

I think 1 of 4 potential things will happen:

1. Massive cuts to people next week if they believe it will take another study or a long time for the approval to come.

2. Only about 30% reduction in force and sit an wait for approval while pitching in with Vivitrol.

3. They finally sell the company and all of us are gone.

4. They really believe it will only be a few weeks delay and they keep us all for another month until they get a better idea of how long in will take for approval to come.

I guess we'll know more after the conference calls on Monday. There's nothing we can do about it so I suggest you all have another cocktail like I am right now. I'm drinking Canadian club on the rocks with my feet in my son's blow up pool. Good luck to us all.

I vote for them finally selling the company. At least that would give us a nice package. I agree with poster a few posts above that it will be interesting to see what kind of severance packages are given if they let some of us go. If it is not decent they will never get others to take a risk and come work here in the future.

Nice try sparky! Back to the Sunovion/Otsuka board where you belong

This is a very, very minor setback. It will be approved in a few weeks. The biggest problem will be the price, because we will have no advantage over Maintena, which I find to be an absolutely stupid tactic.

Alkermes plc (NASDAQ: ALKS) today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has advised Alkermes that it will not be able to complete its review

no advantage over Maintena? Are you high? Several advantages. Why do you think so many left Otsuka to sell this drug. And to your price comment....price has not been released, nobody pays cash price so all it needs to be priced is comparable to the others. Hope that helps.
