GSK & Haleon Stock Crashing

A rep attains 95% of an inflated sales goal and is scrutinized to death. Business plans, ride-alongs, threats of a PIP. Emma loses billions in share holder value and gets a raise. WTF?

If that were only true. Look at the business model the industry has created. R&D, Commercial Operations, and Payer Access. R&D stands alone and is the lifeblood of any pharmaceutical company. But without Commercial Operations, well, there is really not a company. Sure sure, marketing can outsource...aheemmm cough cough, create advertising campaigns. But reps bring it all to life. Payer Access needs to be pulled through by the reps. Again, they bring it to life. Sales reps provide the foundation of mid-level and upper-level management. RSD's, AVP's, SVP's. And they need someone to point a finger at when a product is not attaining astronomical sales goals. Things like coco become a pet project for people like half-court horngobbler. Sales reps are a necessary evil. It is what it is.

True, there always be sales reps and management, the question is how many? as the value of GSK drops, the result is fewer reps.
You can't sustain current staffing if your value is depressed and the short and long-term projections look to be depressed.

Cutting sales reps will not impact the company's bottom line. Believe it or not, we run a lean salesforce. I'm not suggesting that Emma won't cut reps as a sign that she is actually "doing something". I'm saying that even if you cut half our sales force it would not really have the kind of impact to corporate profits that would help our share price. The only pleasure I take in layoffs is that DSM's will be out on the streets. Bloated hot airbags who have been in their roles for decades. Not to worry. We will not have an official layoff. You can expect GSK to be taken over and then have each division gutted. I've been giving this insight for the better part of two years. Early 2024 GSK will no longer exist. It's been in the works for quite awhile. Stick your head in the sand all you want. It's happening. And it's going to happen as the country hits a recession. Jobs will not be as plentiful. Hope you saved all your nickels and dimes because hard times are coming.

Not sure what this means. If you pay attention to what has actually happened (and don’t just fall into the red/blue propaganda), you’d see that most of the economic policies of this admin are the same as the prior.

Look, I can’t hold your hand all the time. You have all the info in the world at your fingertips. Get out of your bubble and use it. But here’s a start - tariffs still in place, infrastructure bill passed, COVID stimulus passed. And just for fun, I’ll give you a fourth one that may be particularly relevant - both in favor of negotiating Medicare drug prices. BTW, I’m opposed to almost all of these but you’re fooling yourself if you believe one was/ is better than the other just because they wear your team’s jersey.
