Are you really so naive to think that just because we were all told that the contract was extended through 2014 that there is no possibility of it ending sooner? The norm is for the contract to run its course then if it is to be ended it will be. But in the world of pharma contract sales, contracts have been known to die prematurely. Doesn't matter if the client has to pay fees for breach. If the client deems it a necessary business decision then its done. Also consider this: the way contracts are written sometimes...the client has the option to cancel with little notice and little to no penalty.
 






If you took the time to read you would see these are old posts that were written B4 the contract extension, this contract will most likely go on beyond the extension the posters are disgruntled workers.
 


















I have been in contract sales for over 5 years now, and believe it or not, I found out about a contract ending prematurely on cafepharma. Once you eliminate the B.S. on here,pay attention to the "subtle" changes that's happening on the contract it can give you an idea of what's going on.

I LOVE this contract, however, I was on Schering and it is true what the poster said about the extension happened in Jan and we were gone by June. I asked my manager about the new product and it went from "when" to "if" we were getting one. I say it is a 50/50 chance at this point.
 












If it does end early, I heard it will go through this year and not all sure for next year . It may end 1 year early. Not sure about anything. We sure didn't get many samples. Heard march shipment and may shipment is set. I just don't know but I do think it is true it will go through this year. Why wouldn't they keep us we are smart for business. No benefits, car small overhead
 






Was on p4 contract. Found out about the end on cafepharma. Do what's best for you. If you guys aren't looking, networking everyday y'all are crazy. Just giving you guys a heads up
 






iPad meeting has been planned and budgeted so it will go on even if the contract is going to expire. Notice the small amount of samples we are getting?? I am out weeks before the next delivery. I see my Avelox samples getting smaller and smaller.... we soon won't have it in our bag. Just like Maxalt.

Just work this job while you look for another if you are worried about contract ending.

Me, I took early retirement package from Glaxo almost three years ago with layoff package.
So if its over I will be bored stiff but done and done. For what is worth, I think this contract has legs.
