Comet is rather tedious....especially if you have a lot of RFM's...not only a lot of details required for each, but those damn screen prints that need to be attached in a separate file. So it's not a quesiton of being an idiot, you idiot!!!
 




Never worked for Merck but was with two other big pharma companies that abused people into medical disabilities. was reading the site for info I was looking for and I had to laugh because of this thread. My manger was fired by new VP, new DM came, and the same story. I got to the point I would drive around day dreaming about killing my bosses. When you're at that point it's time to leave. Doesn't matter what your ranks are or not. If someone above you wants you gone for any reason, you're gone. I was ranked 5th in the nation when I was pipd and terminated without cause. Everyone looks out for themselves. Corporate integrity is gone. Use pharma as a stepping stone to med device. Been in med device for a while now and it is a totally different world. Work hard play hard, but you are motivated to work...$ pay for performance... best of luck, get outta there..

Good to know another person has the same destructive thought as I did. Mine was more about how to maim and break arms and legs accidentally.

I knew my reputation established over more than two decades was history when a customer said, "Yeah you told me about there was zero problem with Vioxx over and over and you were so brainwashed..."

Yeah, weren't we all. We were lied to about Vioxx just like we're being lied to now. Three months ago, my shithead manager assured me there were no plans to lay more reps off. Now, Ken the Genius says we have touch decisions to make. You can't believe a damn thing these scumballs say.

Half of us will be gone by year's end. The packages will suck. Merck is in deep trouble. The ass-kissers will be the last to go and I don't want to be around with that collective group of intolerable losers. I'd have to vomit at the end of every meeting day. Oh, wait, I pretty much have to do that now. I hope your area is better than NE Ohio.
 




Quite frankly the only thing I'm sure of these days is the fact that we're no longer in Kansas anymore. Oh to bring back those wonderful days. Now it's all about what doesn't kill you making you stronger. You could say I'm just a tiny bit stressed and I'm just a lowly rep.
 




Not sure if those stay are "ass kissers" or not. The new Merck wants reps that march and jump when told, don't ask questions and execute, memorize the mission statement (whatever that is), etc. If you are not able to do so, you'll soon be history.
 




Or the doctor that said this to me, "Last week you paid me to be a speaker. This week you said the policy has changed and I am not a thought leader anymore? Let me show you now and I will call up my buddies and ask them to stop using your products." Then the next day, from another now no more thought leader, "You guys are such a hypocrite...you started all these programs that paid us fees and now you are telling me it is unethical to do it?"
