It shows your dedication to your career. they all know those who chose the virtual option don’t really care about contracting delta because it’s not going to happen. We’re in hospitals and doctors offices around sick patients. A meeting has much less risk. They chose virtual because they don’t take their careers as seriously as those attending in person and guess what? No one really wants to be there. We would all rather be home with our families. But some are actually more dedicated to their careers than others. I hope those attending in person reap the benefits.

The point is we had an OPTION. Look that word up why don't you. Whether it's safe or not is actually a moot subject. The entire meeting is based online from corporate anyway. Prove your worth in the field w customers and bringing value to patients & then you can talk job security.
 


















Last day of meeting and have caught a bug here in the hotel. Nobody staying are wearing masks. Why put us up in a red city is beyond irresponsible. I hope i just have a cold but will get tested when I land home. I m fully vax w Moderna but in my hometown over half the patients in hospital w covid are vaxed so doesnt mean anything when the vax doesnt work any longer.
Bonehead decision to hold live meetings in what turned out to be the biggest covid surge yet..... nice job VPs

Just landed from a mtg in a covid sess pool and going to CVS now for test.

I ve been fully vaxed , but so many people in hotels and just the southern city were walking around shoulder to shoulder Hacking &
Coughing with no masks. I bet only 10% people around all week.were masks.
Gilead employees only ones i saw in masks.

Unfortunately its like this all over US so while current hospitalizations of Delta have set records & past both previous surges, the worse is still to come.

July holidays, family reunions, back to school and unlike last year with 80% wearing masks being safe, nobody is practicing any safety now & Delta is the worse yet.

SO B, just got tested positive after flying back from my mtg last night.
Was fully vaccinated in March, and got Delta.
Heading over to Urgent Care now to check O2 levels. Feels like i have a severe cold & bronchitis x10.
Sooooo pissed i went to the live meeting.
Was vaxxed so felt somewhat safe & also didnt want to be singled out as one staying virtual & being labeled.

Looking at threads, handful Gilead reps whom.were vaccinated have tested positive the last couple days .

I enjoyed the live meeting, simply cannot replace my meetings with a zoom video conference. The opportunity to interact with colleagues, I mean really interact, is irreplaceable.

If this is true you need to report it to the company And if it's true, no more live meetings until the rates fall again. And more importantly, no more insane bring zilch value ride alongs/babysitting.
 






I am fully vaccinated with Moderna and was one who was calling BS on people complaining about a live meeting.
But as of this evening, I have reverse course and upset. My son started coughing w cold symptoms yesterday. This morning he tested positive for covid, given I am the only one who has traveled and school has not started yet, i got tested this afternoon. Tonight my positive results were emailed to me.
I was the silent spreader who invested my little boy and I am so upset now.
Yes people at the meeting hotel and 4 plane flights last week were coughing everywhere while not wearing masks but I thought I was safe being vaccinated and excellent shape working out 7 days a week.

I m just devastated over this. I m calling HR in the morning to report the events just to be on record.
Our families safety was not put first in this decision for live meeting in the middle of the worst surge yet .

This is hilarious! Thx for the chuckle. No worse exposure than what you get in infectious disease offices with sick patients. Find another industry.
