Genentech/Roche how can you do this?

AND it’s dicks like this who make me happy my age, salary and inability or unwillingness to buy into ecosystem bullshit resulted in not making it through the psycho mindset interview process. The ecosystem weirdos have jobs because hard selling sales reps made the company’s franchises grow like weeds. Your post reflects a lack of personality, intelligence and compassion. I completely disagree with your take on the EcoSystem model. Many of use who grew our franchise business exponentially and won national sales awards consistently did not get positions in the Ecosystems. It was based on a "mindset criteria," that is solely a legal formality to pursue the D&I agenda of the current leadership. I would agree Genentech needed to lean out but they are doing this in a way will only hurt our patients, clientele and Genentech's bottom line moving forward. For those of us who made its through I wish you the best. For those of you who do not make it into the Ecosystem things will work out for the best.

And for those you who opted out of interviewing for the circus - congrats! You're the smartest people at the company and too good for this! Take your drive, intelligence, talent and desire to succeed somewhere it will be appreciated and rewarded. Find somewhere where results matter and dictate your mobility in the organization - not how vocal you are about "the great SLT", how many trips you make to San Francisco, how many committees you participate in, how great you are at "networking" etc. If you're passing on the entire process and waiting to collect severance you already know this.

This place is truly messed up - but I think you are off-base blaming D&I. Agree that has been used as an excuse since the start but have you SEEN the photo gallery of people hired for ecosystems so far?! It's the usual Who's Who of Whiteness + favoritism in large part (Note the 5 clones in MI for heaven's sake, and New England and Ohio . . ). So unless a huge majority hired are closeted Trans or are Latinx but with Irish last names, don't think we can blame people of color for this one.

Jonestown indeed - and a year from now it will be interesting to see how many of the Mindset Zombies are happy with their choice to stick around rather than take a decent severance when they had the chance.

Totally agree, its so funny to see folks crying about D&I when the proof is in the pudding...Just look at the demographic that has been hired...are you BLIND? POC are hardly represented in areas where you would expect there to be a bit more of a mix b/c of the community that is served in those areas.

Yes, we have morons on this thread but the REAL underlying issue is the D & I agenda being forced down everyone's throats. Movements that happen organically will last; this type just causes resentment and hiring of under-qualified people. GNE's been highjacked by special interest groups which will be the final nail in the coffin.
