Gallucci gone!

Good luck Nick!
The firm implemented the comp plan. It's a regenerative company really trying to move the metal that has fallen on it's lap. They really weren't committed to fullfill what they brought you over for. The TEI folks and their discounting has ruined things here and the bottom line number. Anyone from TEI sales still here sucks and weren't revenue contributors anyways. Salto or it's stagf wont save either. Only good numbers were sandbagged.

So now that the Dynamic Duo of Augusti/Gallucci are gone where does that leave OTT?

1. A horrible comp plan that has driven the majority of good reps to leave.
2. Total lack of development of new products for Lower and Upper metal core products, Plates/Screws.
3. Multiple acquisitions of Regenerative companies and lunch of OmniGraft that have fallen flat on their face
4. Sales Numbers , Reporting , Rankings that are non existent or completely wrong .

Comp plan is mostly deemed poor by people who don't and can't sell metal. You have to be accountable for a product line you rep. Yes I know the stuff is old.
On an up note let's hope that the clueless directors are next to go.

This is actually a true comment. However bad things can be Integra historically has been the highest paying extremities job in the industry. Stay 3 years hit your quota and make $200k at plan (without bonus and not dependent on territory size). Successful reps are making $220-$400k a year. Ask recruiters- if your an extremities rep making 150-175k a year you should be happy.

The reps that made over 400k only sell skin need to be divided . A metal rep works way harder for less. Sentman failed with canibalization of small bilayer by omnigraft (hold him accountable, Pete A). While distributors bring metal, they dont get wounds and decline in pockets. Not even johnson and johnson could keep the large sheets steady for burn. Regenerative business leaders need to go, its the wrong model, its the rep you need! Especially Sarah Hadtons big ass! Last chance Bill W

The above poster is what is wrong with the extremeties side and what I imagine Bobby D is going to fix. Metal reps work harder and get paid less. My answer to this; you have the opportunity to sell skin? Why not sell skin and make more money? Because you like selling a me too product to DPM's so you can tout yourself as an ortho rep. Also, what product has a higher profit margin for the company? Nic pushed metal because he was involved in those purchases and he didn't want to look like a failure. The new regime is going to look at what makes the company money. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if the new guys look at the metal business and try to dump it.

Metal pays the company more profit on product Integra just doesn't sell enough. All med device companies use the same contract manufacturers to produce their products and buy for pennies on the $ for what they sell to the customer. Skin has an overhead cost so the profit margins are less.

Easy there buddy, Sarah Hatton is good people. Calling people out like that hiding behind some anonymous post on CP pretty much makes you a bitch. And yes, I'd say that to your face given the chance. Whiny bitch ass pussy you are.

I don't think you're correct on this one. Skin they make in bulk, ship once to a rep or customer and it sells for an astronomical price. So even if it costs 20 bucks to make, you're selling it for 1000x cost. Metal, you may buy for pennies but with all the shipping to and from, back and forth then paying reps a high percentage on it, I don't see it as a higher profit margin. Let me ask you this question, if you were starting a company and you could pick from one line of Integra products, would you really pick me too metal? I'd pick regen all day long minus PMX.

Agree SH is solid. Def change of pace from the arrogant management of the past.

This has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. You are clueless!

Missing the point boys and girls. Solid but that part of the business, woundcare, is a pile of hot garbage. Territories do minimal revenue and no understanding of the proprietary technologies. The times. They are a' changin. Just wait

Ok clueless one. Think about it..... you can get a larger % bonus for selling metal if your at quota then compared to skin. Hmmmm No med device company is going to pay an astronomical commission % on a product if they are not making a larger profit on it. when companies hit their projections or quota everything after is icing on the cake. They are not going to give away extra icing if there is no back end........

Traditionally biologics and tissue are non-relationship based sales compared to metal. Company elders for a long time have felt IART needed to get into metal to fortify its position by forging customer relationships and influence. Not saying its a bad strategy but the execution has been consistently horrible and now metal has become glutted with competition offering me too products.

Traditional hardware companies have demonstrated success in bridging from metal into biologics and tissue, but the reverse is much harder and has never been proven to work successfully. In IART's case, acquisitions have usually been poor choices and integration horribly handled. Factor in clueless leadership choices and you get a dysfunctional organization stuck in the mud. On top of that, it's hard to build relationships with the industry's worst turnover of field talent. Unfortunately IART's problems are self-inflicted. Bad choices beget more bad choices.

Make no mistake about it, tissue pays the bills and for all the misguided acquisitions of scrap metal. Time for a new and well conceived business plan. It ain't getting any easier.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. You must be in the wound care division or a newly hired asr on the east coast. While you keep drinking the now moldy, rotten and discarded Gooch cool aid, I'll break it down for you.

The miles that many of those plates and screws have on them and the shipping cost associated with them have to be deducted from an already minimal profit margin. Take any decent paying metal case with plates and screws. Let's say you have 100 items shipped in. You bill for less than 7-10% of those (if you can charge for disposables). Everything not used is sent (usually next day priority) to the next town so someone can complete their case because we have so few sets. Add up all the times these items ship and average that per item in the tray, those costs add up.

Bobby D said it best on the last conference call. We can't stand toe to toe with the top 3 and compare our bag to theirs. We have some good one off products, but as a whole we are no where close to them. Let's fight where we are special (REGEN)!

The new prez gives me hope for this division.
