Future of DePuy Synthes

Biotech person, do you really want to go into devices? Do you understand that J&J is not innovative in devices so you are always selling me too products at higher prices? You will have no support from the company who is more supportive of compliance than selling. If you are looking for a job in ethicon you are basically a pharma rep anyway because their products are not specialized or dynamic enough for you to be in cases. Think seriously about this.

I am not in sales. I live close-by to a major office. wanted to see what the feel and stability was like since they announced those layoffs. I don't like the Cambridge Biotech culture and frankly jobs as non-scientists in R&D are dwindling in Biotech. All of those jobs are going to CRO's more so than ever before. I could stay and cash-out for another year or two if I am lucky, but once I'm laid off in the next year or two, it will be tough finding another decent role in Biotech. I don't want to waste time, so I'm creating a list of good companies to check out outside of that cambridge biotech bubble.
