FU MERCK!!

Wow, did you misunderstand my intent. If the Merck sales force is really that vulgar and rude, no wonder they are in such a mess. I am need looking for sympathy nor care to give any to any of these vulgar posters who get laid off. No wonder our society is in such sad shape. If you have children, I certainly hope you don't act like you do here around them. What a disgrace. I'm done with being civil.

Let me check - yep, no one cares.

FU MERCK!!

So you agree with Mitt Romney. Corporations are just people. Last I checked they were in the business to make money, not cradle you through life. Layoffs are a part of corp. America, It's happened to me twice. I got over it and survived. You can't and won't. What a spoiled brat you are.

To quote Brad Pitt in Killing them softly: " this guy says we're living in a community? Don't make me laugh. America's not a country. It's a business and in America you're on your own. Now pay me."

You ain't gonna make it. You ain't tough enough. You don't know how to be mercenary. You're a tantrum thrower. The world is running circles around you while you shake your fist and scream "fu" into the wind. You are today's sad sack and tomorrow's statistic.
You're not even entertaining.

Short-term pump...before the big, fat DUMP. Quickly getting to a point where there won't be much left to cut. Then it will turn to selling off divisions, piece-meal.

Did you actually read the very report you are touting? What about this paragraph:

"Analysts routinely miss their mark by billions of dollars, often because they're seeking favor with the companies they cover. As for hep C, Merck has already been trumped by Gilead ($GILD) and will likely be beaten to the market by AbbVie ($ABBV) and Bristol-Myers Squibb ($BMY) as well. And half of all late-stage drugs fail in the clinic."

Better put away your pom-poms and start looking reality in the face. Merck is in a world of hurt right now, its once mighty R&D engine has been thoroughly destroyed by its own so-called "leadership". You are counting chickens that are a long way from hatching and probably won't. Merck no longer has the talent pool to make these remote prospects a reality. That's what happens when upper management shits on its own workforce for a decade, and drives the best and brightest to join the competitors.

Winner, winner chicken dinner! Between the ex-Merckies who are at competitors and not only wanting to succeed but to BEAT Merck and the history Merck has of fumbling on the 1 yard line with the FDA (or, most recently with the DEA) this is the last horse I would bet on long term.

The stock is right up against many 1 year targets set recently and the Consumer Care spin off is now likely weeks from being announced so the dice bomb won't be far behind. Keep an eye on those options contracts soon.
