Forest = UNPROFESSIONAL

Again, why is everyone so hung up on "$52k"??? It may have been that years ago at Frx but I started last year in the upper $70s with little pharma exp....

I started 4 months ago at 52,500, the two other newbies on my team at training with me started at 50k and 52k. We all had 2+ years of pharma, so there is a truthful answer. We all were unemployed, so there is the second part of your answer. I don't know of anyone here, albeit it has been a short employment who is not actively continuing to look and interview, Forest is not a long term stop, just a paycheck to get paid while either double dippin' or continuing to interview but had to take something for the medical benefits, certainly not the base salary. Forest has long led the industry as the worst paying base salary in the league. This will never change and whom ever speaks otherwise is a BIG FAT FUCKING LIAR.

what are your comments about a 91k base for someone been here 8 years, rep in the field, not a DM or RST or Hospital

Unfortunately, I have to agree. I worked for Forest for a year. It was the biggest mistake of my career. I came from big pharma and thought, it will be nice to be with a small company, with great products. The products are great. I still respect Forest products. However, I have NEVER seen a more incompetent management group in my life. I have 8 successful years in pharma and still can't believe the lack of professionalism, respect and coaching. It's a sad fact, but, nonetheless true. If you are considering a job with Forest, only come aboard if this is your first pharma job. Most of my training class came from enterprise rent-a-car. No joke. Great place to get a start in pharma. Hopefully, as time goes on, a higher caliber of people will get into management. People who actually know how to sell and coach successfully, not berate, gossip and threaten. It's sad when your numbers are looking up, your call metrics are fabulous and all your manager can do is be negative. Really a slap in the face. I've never seen anything like it before. But, apparently, some RD's like that approach. Maybe they came from Enterprise too.

I TOTALLYYYYY AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TRUST ME THIS CONTRACT SUCKS. I HAVE EXTENSIVE B2B EXPERIENCE AND I WAS AT THE TOP OF MY TEAM AND HAD NO DIRECTION AND GOT A LOT OF DRAMA FROM FOREST REPS. THEY ARE COMPLETE BULLIES, AND VERY VERY LAZY. THEY WILL TRY TO MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT AT ALL TIMES. 22 YEAR OLDS IN THEIR DIAPERS GOT HIRED ON FULL TIME FROM THE CONTRACT AND I DID NOT. I AM STILL FIGHTING TO GET PAID MY BONUS OWED TO ME FROM 6 MONTHS AGO. DO NOT BOTHER. YOU WILL HATE THE COMPANY CULTURE OF BOTH. THEY ARE VERY "PASS THE BUCK" "DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD" AND ARE NOT APPRECIATIVE OF EMPLOYEES. I LEFT A FORTUNE 100 COMPANY TO COME HERE AND GOT COMPLETELY SCREWED IN EVERY WAY. 52 K BASE IS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE. I GOT 57 BUT HAD TO BEG. MOST PHARMA REPS CAN GET 65K EASILY. FOREST IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND I FELT BULLIED THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS THERE.

IM SORRY BUT EVERY SINGLE REP AND MANAGER AT FOREST LIVES IN A CRUMMY NEIGHBORHOOD. PEOPLE ARE DESPERATE TO WORK HERE AND DONT HAVE THE ENTREPRENEURIAL TO REALIZE THE GRASS IS CERTAINLY GREENER.

NO ONE I EVER MEET THAT WORKS AT FOREST MAKES GREAT MONEY. EITHER A GIRL IS MARRIED RICH AND THIS IS HER SPENDING MONEY OR THE REST ARE ALL BLUE COLLAR AND MEAT HEAD JOCK. I HAVE YET TO MEET SOMEONE INTELLIGENT AT FOREST.

ITS SCARY. ITS LIKE WORKING WITH USED CAR SALESMAN. ALSO, EVERYONE SEEMS TO SLEEP AROUND, GOSSIP, SLANDER, OR CUT THE THROATS OF OTHER REPS. THEY GET "JEALOUS" WHEN THEY CANT GET INTO AN OFFICE AND ANOTHER REP CAN.

EVERYONE GOES HOME AT 3PM.

NO WONDER NO ONE, I MEAN NO ONE, WANTS TO HIRE PHARMA REPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I CAME FROM B2B AND CLOSED 250 BUSINESS ACCOUNTS BY COLD CALLING AND NETWORKING. OUR COMPANY LAUGHED AT PHARMA REPS.

IF YOU FEEL "SAFE" WITH YOUR SALARY IN PHARMA, OK, BUT REALIZE YOU AN MAKE THE SAME MONEY OPENING A SUBWAY MINUS ALL THE BS.

FOREST WAS MY ONLY EXPERIENCE AND IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. MAYBE IT'S NOT SO BAD ELSEWHERE.

REALLY? NO ONE INTELLIGENT? HOW ABOUT THE MDS THAT WORK IN MEDICAL AFFAIRS AND CLINICAL DRUG DEVELOPMENT?

GA and EH are extremely intelligent. So are the ABDs, RDs and DMs. They wouldn't be in those positions if they weren't very smart
I think you misunderstand. They are smart obviously, however they are in over their heads clearly. The smartest people admit when something is out of the scope of their expertise and they also face the brutal facts. EH drinks her own kook-aid which has had extremely negative consequences for Forest. To have a string company that lasts in any industry it has to be lead by folks willing to face the brutal facts and make necessary changes. Read the book Good to Great, this company violates most the rules in that book. It's a 10 year case study on companies who consistently out-performed others in their industry. It highlights the themes all these companies have in common. It's sad that many people who work here don't know how great this industry can be unless they've worked elsewhere and/or gotten out. I think we have all shared our experience which appears to be consistent across the country, because we hope to save others from making the same mistake and also help those left behind realize how much better their life can be with another , healthier organization.

You my friend have nailed. It IS the culture here and it is condoned/encouraged by management. Everyone is out for themselves, just literally a fucking horrible place to work.

read a book by Jack Welch. You my friend would be the bottom 20% that got cut.

All the reps are jealous and bad mouth each other because working here is their first job experience. Forest only requires the basic BA educational requirement to seem legit but most went to an online school. The DM & RDM’s are bullies because they have no idea what they are doing and use this technique so no one questions their inability to manage. This company is so toxic thank god I no longer work here.

but you come back to this page.....

Another option is to actually screw what the r***** managers tell you and go do the job right. Put on a show while they're in the car with you, then do the things that will actually help your paycheck grow.

I'm so sick of hearing how Forest reps "buy off their docs" and how we're just "coffee delivery people." You know what? I absolutely take advantage of the budget that Forest provides for the crappy fat-filled food that we drop off to offices 3-4 times a week. But I don't think one cup of Starbucks or one Panera bagel has EVER given me a script.

Also, I've never had one single physician in my territory ever receive a "payoff" for writing scripts. We have a couple of Advisory Boards per year (one for Lexapro, one for Namenda), and a few big writers are invited. These meetings last 4 hours, and if they attend, they get $500. No money for preceptorships (monetary donation to a charity in the physician's name), no trips (unless you consider a 2-day trip to Atlanta for speaker training a "trip").

I get scripts because I have spent a few years developing good relationships with the physicians and because I don't bash my competition. Almost every drug in the antidepressant class, in the ARB class, and in the AD class is a pretty good med. I'm just trying to give the physicians a reason to give our drugs a chance in patients where it makes sense.

I'm glad you left the company, and am glad that you're happy "after Forest." But please realize that not everyone who works for Forest is unprofessional. I've got a degree from a very respectable Big 10 school (after a 3.72 GPA), and earned my stripes through the same kind of crappy sales job that most reps in the pharmaceutical industry had to have before getting into pharma.

Yes, there are lots of idiot reps who act like dimwits in front of physicians and in front of other reps. Yes, there are idiot managers who only care what your call average and sample average is. Guess what? That's not just Forest. Check out boards from just about every pharma company in America and you will see the same type of complaints.

People who leave Forest because they think "the grass is greener on the other side" usually find out that if the grass truly is greener, it's usually because of all the crap that is used for fertilizer.

dumb as a rock--you are why forest is sucking it

I worked for Forest (thankfully in the past). 90% of the employees I came in contact with were unprofessional. One female manager was so unprofessional (thankfully not my manager) that I felt sorry for the reps that had to work with her. She had big dark hair like in the 80's and always wore low cut shirts.
